The first Thanksgiving took place in the 1600s when Native Americans and pilgrims had / shared a harvest feast.
Then in 1863, during the Civil War, President Lincoln declared it a national holiday. / Thanksgiving became a national holiday thanks to President Lincoln.
During the Macy's parade, people can see floats, balloons, and marching bands in New York. It started in 1924 and real animals from the Central Park Zoo were shown.
Since 1927, animal balloons have been used. The first balloon character was Felix the Cat.
Football tradition dates back to 1934 when the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears played for the first time. The Lions lost but since 1934 the tradition has continued.
Every year, a turkey is pardoned by the President. President Lincoln started the tradition, and it became official in 1989 by George H. W. Bush. The turkey is sent to a petting zoo or back to their owner.

A Thanksgiving meal is composed of a roasted turkey with gravy and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and vegetables (among them corn and green beans), dressing / stuffing and pumpkin pies, apple pies and pecan pies as dessert.

Belinda: Can you imagine going to the same clubs as your parents, or you and your parents reading the same blogs?

My name is Dr. John Watson. These are my notes for the suspects' alibis for the different crimes of Jack the Ripper.
The first victim was Lord Windermere. A couple was questioned by the police; however, the husband was reading a newspaper while his wife was playing the violin next to him.

The second victim was Miss Penniless. Mr. Warren was seen near Waterloo Tube Station. However, when Mr. Warren was interviewed by the police, he said he was playing chess with his son.

The third victims were three barmaids. They were stabbed and their jewelry was stolen. There are two suspects : Mr. Shill and Mrs. Lancaster. Mr. Shill was walking around Regent's Park. Mrs. Lancaster was also interviewed by the police; she was cooking breakfast for her family.

Sherlock and I have no idea who to believe. Their alibis must be investigated.
