Today, I’m going to cook a delicious apple crumble ! For this recipe, I will need : 5 apples, 140g sugar, 5g cinnamon, 1 glass water, 200g butter and 120g flour.

Step 1 : Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Then, grease a medium-sized oven dish.

Step 2 : Peel the apples and cut them into small pieces.

Step 3 : Cook the apples for 10 minutes in a saucepan with the water, 20g of sugar and the cinnamon.

Step 4 : Put the flour in a large bowl. Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour.

Step 5 : Add the rest of the sugar and mix

Step 6 : Press the mixture to make crumbs.

Step 7 : Pour the apples into the oven dish.

Step 8 : Put the crumble on top of the apples.

Step 9 : Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes. The crumble should be golden and bubbling.

And now some facts and figures. Tower Bridge is 244 m in length, and the two towers are 65 m high. The central part between the towers measures 61 m. The two side-spans are suspension bridges and are 82 m long. The bascules housed in each tower each weigh over 1 000 tons and take five minutes to bascule over and raise the bridge. At the bottom of the towers there are two massive piers containing 70 000 tons of concrete which support the construction. 11 000 tons of steel provide the framework for the tower and the pedestrian walkways, which are situated 44 m above the river at high tide.
The original raising mechanism was powered by steam hydraulics. In 1974 this was replaced by a new electro-hydraulic system. You can see some of the original hydraulic machinery in the bridge’s museum.

So, let me tell you a little bit about Tower Bridge’s history. The bridge was designed by Horace Jones, and it was Sir John Wolfe Barry who devised the idea of a bascule bridge. Building started in 1886, using 432 construction workers, and it took 8 years to complete. In 1887 Jones unfortunately died and George Stevenson (whose father had built the Houses of Parliament some years earlier) took over the project. He decided not to cover the towers in the red brick which had been originally planned, but use ornate Gothic style Portland stone and granite instead. This was intended to harmonise the bridge with the nearby Tower of London, and it makes the bridge a distinctive landmark.
The bridge was officially opened on 30th June 1894 by the Prince of Wales, the future King Edward VII

I have always wanted to visit Australia, and this year, my dream finally came true! I have been here for two weeks now, and it has been such an incredible experience.
I arrived in Sydney three days ago, and since then, I have explored many beautiful places. The Sydney Opera House is so impressive, and the Harbour Bridge is such an amazing structure! I have also visited Bondi Beach, where I tried surfing for the first time. It was difficult at first, but after a few attempts, I managed to stand on my board!
After Sydney, I traveled to the Great Barrier Reef. I have never seen such colorful fish before! Snorkeling there was one of the best experiences of my life. I have been interested in marine life for years, so this was a dream come true.
Now, I am in the Outback, and I have been staying in a small campsite for three days. The landscapes are so wild and beautiful! Yesterday, I saw kangaroos and even a few koalas in the trees. I would like to see a platypus before I leave, but they are very rare.
I have learned so much about Aboriginal culture too. A local guide told us amazing stories about their traditions. For centuries, they have lived in harmony with nature, and their art is so unique.
This trip has been unforgettable. I have taken so many pictures, and I can’t wait to show them to my family when I get back home!

Hi! I’m Felipe and I’m here to tell you the story of how I met my wife, Karen. It was a cold rainy day in Winter. I wanted to get hot chocolate. I called my friend Pablo to go with me, but he said he didn’t want to go out in the rain. He recommended a new café in the area, so I decided to go there. I took my umbrella and went out in the rain to visit the new café. I had to walk for about ten minutes under the rain, and it got really cold. When I got to the café, it was incredibly warm and almost empty. That was the moment I saw her. She was the barista. She saw me and gave me a beautiful smile. I looked at her, and felt warm inside; I was in love. I ordered the hot chocolate I wanted and sat down at one of the tables. I looked at her and she kept looking back at me. I didn’t do much that day. But I kept going to the café and one day I asked her out and she said accepted. From then on, we went on multiple dates, but I can tell you about those some other day.

My name is Abdirabi Mohamed, and I’m the Communications Chair for the YALI Somalia Chapter. First, I want to thank Jane Almjeld and her students for their interest in our YALI Somalia Giving Day and for wanting to learn more about how we made it a success. I’m excited to share our experience with you today.
To give you some context, the YALI Giving Day was a first-of-its-kind fundraising event organized by YALI Africa. They selected one chapter from each region in Africa to participate, and out of the 14 chapters in the East Africa region, our chapter was chosen.
Why were we chosen? Our project was all about empowering Somali youth to become peacebuilders. Our country has been through decades of civil war, and we continue to face challenges from terrorist groups like Al-Shabaab that threaten our security. We believe that young people have the power to help bring peace and stability to their communities, and this idea really resonated with the people behind the Giving Day initiative.
Like many other countries, we faced our own challenges—things like limited access to digital platforms, economic hardship, and security concerns. Despite these difficulties, our chapter, along with South Africa, Togo, and Cameroon, became one of the first chapters to receive donations during the event.

We have now departed from Santa Monica Pier.
We are driving southward along Venice Beach.
We will go on in this direction until we reach the Fishersman's Village, just before the airport.
That will be our first stop.
We will then go east through the city, following the road to the LA Memorial Coliseum.
It will be the perfect place for a second stop.
We will make a third stop at the Flower Market, then follow the river banks,
stop at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Lastly, there will be another famous landmark to contemplate: the TCL Chinese Theatre.
That will be our fifth and final stop.

St. Patrick's Day is celebrated in the USA every year on March 17th. Many people in the USA are not Irish, but they still enjoy the holiday. People wear green clothes, and some even paint their faces green! There are big parades in many cities, like New York and Chicago.

In Chicago, the river turns green for the day. People eat Irish food, like corned beef and cabbage. Many Americans also enjoy Irish music and dance. St. Patrick's Day is a fun time for everyone, no matter where they come from.
