These 4 million people would be dead, if there were no methods to replace their kidney functions.
Remarkable progress has been made since the 1950s and 1960s, when the first kidney transplants were carried out and dialysis was invented.
Today, HD, PD and transplantation are available to a wide range of patients, enhancing patients' quality of life and extending its duration.

We can say that over the last six or seven decades,
many millions of lives have been saved
thanks to developments in renal replacement therapy techniques
 
It is noteworthy that
no other scientific development has had
such clear and fundamental impacts on Humanity.
So, I invite you to take a few moments to consider this matter
and feel privileged
not only to witness these scientific advances,

Good morning! Welcome to Wonderland. Let me tell you about a typical day here...
The White Rabbit always wakes up very early. He never sits down for breakfast — he grabs a carrot and rushes out the door! He usually checks his watch every five minutes. He sometimes bumps into other characters, but he never stops to apologise.

The Mad Hatter never goes to bed — because it is always tea time! He always puts on his big hat and sets the table. He usually pours the tea and moves the cups around. He sometimes hums a little song, but he rarely makes sense.

The Red Queen always gets up in a bad mood. She usually looks in the mirror and combs her hair very carefully. She often walks through her garden and inspects the roses. She always gives orders to her soldiers, and she never listens to anyone.

The Cheshire Cat never follows a routine. He sometimes lounges in a tree in the morning. He occasionally stretches, yawns and disappears completely. He always turns up when nobody expects him — and he never explains why.

The Dormouse almost never gets up. She usually curls up between her two friends and dozes off immediately. She sometimes wakes up, blinks, and mumbles something strange. She rarely finishes her cup of tea before falling asleep again.

And Alice? Well... Alice usually wakes up, has breakfast and goes outside to play. She sometimes reads books under a tree with her sister.
