It's the first day of witch school.
Lulu Witch is happy and scared. She can't eat her cornflakes. She has bats inside her tummy.
Lulu has got a new broom and her Dracula lunch box. She walks to school very fast : she doesn't want to be late!
There's a big witch outside the school ; "Hello, I'm Miss Slime!" Miss Slime has a long nose and a wart on her chin ; she's a very pretty witch.
Miss Slime takes Lulu to her classroom. "Look! Lulu, this is your cubbyhole! You can put your broom and your lunch box here"
Lulu sits at a desk. A little witch with curly hair is next to her. "Hello, I'm Lulu Witch" "Hello, I'm Sandy Witch"
"have you got a magic wand?" Sandy Witch says
"No" says Lulu Witch
"I have one!"
"Have you got a black cat?"
"No"
"I have one" says Sandy Witch
"Have you got a broom?" asks Lulu Witch
"Of course, I got my first broom when I was three"
Miss Slime is in front of the class. Hush! So Lulu Witch and Sandy Witch stop talking.
"Let's sing a song ; let's sing -we are happy witches-"
"Let's draw pictures now!" Sandy Witch's picture is so good, Miss Slime puts it on the wall.
At lunch time Sandy Witch has got lizard cookies. "Yummy! I like lizard cookies!Thank you Sandy Witch" says Lulu Witch
After that, it's time for a broom lesson. Miss Slime is going to show the little witches how to fly their broom. "Get your brooms and let's go to the graveyard!I will teach you how to fly your broom"
"Hooray" say the little witches. One by one the little witches try to fly their brooms.
One little witch falls, one little witch bumps into a tree. one little witch wobbles up and down.
Now it's Lulu's turn. Up, up, up she flies!
"Very good, Lulu!" says Miss Slime
Lulu Witch is happy ; Miss Slime is proud of her.
Then it's Sandy Witch's turn : she can fly backward, she can fly upside down. She can fly with no hands!
When Lulu Witch gets home, Mama Witch asks her "how was witch school?" "I like my teacher, but I don't like one witch in my class. She is the best at everything."
"Come and see. I made a new dress for you." The dress was gray with spiders on it. "Thank you, Mama! I will wear it to witch school tomorrow."
The next morning, Miss Slime says "That is a very pretty dress." "thank you" says Lulu Witch
"Now I will teach you how to spell"" Hooray" say the little witches. "I can spell" says Sandy Witch.
"Ok, will you show the class?"
Sandy Witch gets out her magic wand " first, you close your eyes, then you wave your magic wand and then you say the magic words" She looks right at Lulu Witch. She closes her eyes, she waves her magic wand and she says "Abracadabra, watch me change Lulu's dress"
it goes POP and Lulu Witch looks down at her new dress; it was a pink dress with flowers on it!
Lulu Witch is angry and Miss Slime asks Sandy Witch to change the flowers back into spiders. But Lulu is still angry " I don't like that little witch!"
The next day, she wakes up. Her head hurts. her eyes hurt. She looks at herself in the mirror "Slippery snake guts!" There are big spots all over her face. "I am sure that Sandy Witch put a spell on me!"
"No, says Mama Witch, You have lizard pox! you cannot go to witch school today" Lulu Witch is in bed , She gets a big bowl of dragon noodle soup and Mama Witch reads a nice scary story to her.
The next day, Lulu Witch wants to fly her broom again. She wants to go back to witch school. She walks to witch school as fast as she can. "Welcome back!" says Miss Slime. "We missed you"
But where is Sandy Witch? Then Sandy Witch arrives with big spots all over her face. '"You had lizard pox!" they shout at the same time. "You look funny" says Sandy Witch "you do too" "I bet I have more spots than you" says Sandy Witch "let's count and see" says Lulu Witch. There are 67 bigs spots on Sandy Witch's face. "Let's count your spots now!" There are 69 big spots on Lulu Witch's face. "You win!" says Sandy Witch. LUlu Witch and Sandy Witch are now friends!

（2014.2.13） <Some Songs from Frozen's Soundtrack> Hi, how are you all? It's been a really long time. ^^ Yesteday I watched "Frozen" with one of my best friends from Beijing. Actually she was my teacher before, however we became best friends..(=she became my best friend.) Anyway, I watched the Disney film "Frozen" in 4D with her and her daughter this morning. It had wondeful visual effects because we saw it in 4D (4-dimensional picture). We could feel real wind and vibrations like we were moving as actors in the film. I'm attching some songs from the soundtrack of Frozen here.

"This is a picture of a young man watching an ice skating competition from the Olympics on his phone on the subway. He was sitting on my left side. He was wearing a suit and shoes and had short hair and an athletic build. (= the build of an athlete .)
He was bending his big body forward and was watching the ice skating competition on his smart phone.
That time I found so fun view. He was holding the phone with his left hand and was repeatedly gripping and releasing his right hand. He clenched his fist so tight that I could see he was extremely excited by the ice skating competition.
It was so funny to me, and it made me think he looked like a big, cute boy.

The sound of Jjang-ah's fart.(2014.2.9) Jjang-ah was startled by the sound of his own fart. Just a while ago, when he was sitting on the sofa, he let out a fart suddenly. Then he was startled by his own farting noise and jumped up and ran around. So our family burst out laughing at the same time. He is always startled by his own fartng noise. So fun! How could he still be startled after 11 years?" The pictures of today: Jjang-ah is lying on my son's knee.

“Samgyetang” (Febraury 12,2014) After watching the film, we went to Paju-outlet for shopping. Actually, it's my first time of going to an outlet mall. oday's pictures are the empty plate and bowl of the bibimbap
(rice cooked in a stone pot) and bulgogi (sliced and seasoned barbequed beef ) that we ate there. Oh, and in the evening, we went to Mengdong and ate chicken soup with ginseng and other ingredients) for dinner. Haha... her daughter hardly ate it at all since she felt so strange to eat a whole chicken in a stone pot. May be it could be seem for her a pitiable chiken was lying with nuds in a pot. It was so delicious for me, but might have thought it was a bit bizarre . ^.^

Papa and Granny lived near Henderson TX. I was about 10 and used to visit my grandparents every weekend. This particular weekend was cold with ice and snow. Papa had a real problem. You see, he raised cattle to make a living. Well, of all nights, this night he had a cow that was ready to deliver a calf. He was afraid that with the weather so cold the calf might freeze to death. So as we sat before the fire, Papa was quite restless. Finally, he got up, put on his Stetson hat and started to the back door. I jumped up to get my coat to go with him to the barn like I always tried to do. But this time, Papa made me stay inside. He was worried about me too. I wasn't happy, but I never argued with Papa and I waited for him to return.

Time passed. It seemed like hours but it was really only about 30 minutes. Suddenly we heard kicking at the back door. I jumped up and ran to the door and pulled it open as quickly as I could. In came Papa.... I was truly surprised because in his arms was a newborn calf. Yep.... For a moment, I was stunned. A calf in the house? I never knew ranchers brought calves into their homes. But Papa did. He took the little calf and gently lay him before the fire. Then Grannie brought him a towel and he rubbed the little fellow dry.

Well, the calf kept still as he warmed up while we watched. Then it was time to go to bed. What to do with the calf? We could not take a new-born calf back to his mother in the barn now after it was warmed up. Suddenly Papa had a brilliant idea. He got up and went to the dirty clothes hamper in the bathroom. It was built into the wall and would make a perfect pen for the calf. He took all the dirty clothes out and put them in a closet. Then he went back to the fire and lifted the calf--again he did it very gently--and took him to the clothes hamper.

Then we went to bed--. Just as I dozed off and started dreaming of going fishing I awoke to a loud noise. That darn calf was kicking the sides of the dirty-clothes hamper. Kick, kick, kick. He was trying out his legs for the first time ever and man, was he enthusiastic. I grinned and then tried to shut my ears to the sounds. Finally the calf settled down and we all slept until dawn. Right after sunrise,Papa took the calf back to his mama so he could nurse her milk.

After this I always called that "The Night of the Calf". We talked about it for years.
