We're going to talk about the British Isles and hte United Kingdom.
There are 2 islands: a small one and a big one. The small island is called Ireland. The big island is called Great Britain.
There are also two countries and five regions. It's a little confusing!
Ireland is divided into two parts: in the South, there is the Republic of Ireland, an independant country. In the North, there is Northern Ireland (or Ulster). It's NOT and independant country: it's a region of the United Kingdom.
There are three other regions in the United Kigdom: Scotland in the North, England in the middle and Wales in the South West.
Everybody speaks English in the British Isles, but in Ireland, they speak Gaelic. In Scotland and Wales, there are dialects too! And many various accents.

A week at Hogwarts with Ronald Weasley

1. Hi my name’s Ronald Weasley. I’m twelve and I’m British. I attend HOGWARTS, a famous school of magic because I am a wizard. I need a lot of stuff to go to the classes and I’ve got many SUBJECTS! I don’t like school very much.

2. On Mondays, I have two hours with Professor McGonagall, the TRANSFIGURATION teacher, from nine o’clock to eleven o’clock. Then, I go to the FLYING lesson with Madam Hooch for one hour. I love flying! It’s GREAT! In the afternoon, from two to four, I have POTIONS with Professor Snape! He’s SCARY! Finally, I have ASTRONOMY with Professor Sinistra from four to five. And from five to six, I have DIVINATION with Professor Trelawney. They are BORING. After dinner, I play WIZARDS CHESS with my best friend Harry.

3. Every Tuesday, from ten to twelve in the morning, I have DEFENCE AGAINST DARK ARTS with Professor Quirrel, he always stammers! He’s WEIRD but I like his subject. After lunch, I go to CARE OF MAGICAL CREATURES with Hagrid. He’s GIGANTIC, very CLUMSY but very NICE! His lesson lasts two hours. Then I go to PERM to do my homework. Filch and his cat keep a terrific eye on us.

4. Wednesday is my FAVOURITE school day! We only have lessons in the morning. From nine to ten in the morning, I have HERBOLOGY with Professor Sprout. She so funny! Then I have HISTORY OF MAGIC with Professor Binns, from ten to eleven. Finally, from eleven to twelve, I go to ARITHMANCY. I’m very bad at it! After lunch, I often go to DETENTION because I sometimes PLAY TRUANT and I rarely do my homework. I also go and see Harry practising Quidditch!

5. On Thursdays, I have a BUSY day! I have no spare time! From nine to eleven, I have POTION with Professor Snape. Then, I have TRANSFIGURATION with Professor Mac Gonagall from eleven to twelve. At one o’clock, I have FLYING Lesson with Madam Hooch and at two o’clock in the afternoon; I go to MUGGLE STUDIES with Professor Burbage until four in the afternoon. From four to six, I have CHARMS with Professor Flitwick! The day ends well because Flitwick is very FUNNY! I usually go to sleep very early because I’m really EXHAUSTED!

6. Every Friday, I’m happy because it’s the last school day! In the morning, at nine, I have two hours MUGGLE STUDIES and then one hour CHARMS. After lunch, I have one TRANSFIGURATION lesson with Professor McGonagall and then two hours HERBOLOGY. To finish the school week, I have one HISTORY OF MAGIC lesson. When the week is over, I feel RELIEVED!

7. During the week end, I do a lot of things with my friends Hermione and Harry. We tell GHOST stories, play HIDE AND SEEK, solve magical MYSTERIES. Hermione often helps me with my HOMEWORK. On Sundays, we have a big day. We always go to the Quidditch PITCH and see the match. I love my school!

Ireland is a small country in western Europe. It is located west of the United Kingdom. The country is sometimes called the Republic of Ireland, but its official name is Ireland.

The capital city of the Republic of Ireland is Dublin, which is a lively and very modern city. Companies like Hewlett Packard, Dell or Google have branches there. The second largest city is Cork.

The Irish flag has three colors which are - from left to right - green, white and orange.

About 4.6 million people live in Ireland and all of them speak English. But the first official language of the country is Irish, which is taught in many schools.

Ireland is sometimes called the emerald island which means the green island. That's because the beautiful countryside shows all kinds of green. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. There are meadows, lakes, mountains, beaches and cliffs.
Thanks to the long history there are also many castles all over the country. Some of these are still inhabited, some are only visited by tourists.

An important symbol of Ireland is the shamrock. Now, what is a shamrock? It is a small plant with three green leaves. The leaves look like small hearts. It is very similar to the four leaf clover, but it has only three leaves.

Actually the island of Ireland is divided in two countries.
A small part in the north of the island is called Northern Ireland and belongs to the United Kingdom. Its capital is Belfast.

The world will soon know who will get the “best job in the world”. The position is for a caretaker to live on and look after a tropical island off the coast of Queensland, Australia. Duties include relaxing on the island, which is part of the Great Barrier Reef, and writing a blog to promote the area. Other responsibilities are to feed the fish, clean the pool and collect the mail. The job website, islandreefjob.com, tells applicants: “There are over 1,500 species of fish living in the Great Barrier Reef. Don’t worry. You won’t need to feed them all.” The successful applicant will get a salary of nearly US$100,000 for the six months. Officials from Queensland’s tourism department announced on Tuesday that they were now looking at 50 candidates. Unsurprisingly, over 35,000 people applied for the job.
The next stage in the selection process is to get the list of candidates down to 11. The tourism board will select ten people. Visitors to the website will choose an eleventh person. The public can look at the video applications of all 50 hopeful caretakers. The eleven lucky finalists will then fly to Hamilton Island for a formal interview. The winner will be announced on May 6, and the job starts on July 1. The current shortlist of 50 includes people from 22 countries. They include dancers, chefs, scientists and students and they all want a slice of paradise. Queensland Tourism Minister Desley Boyle said there was much discussion to narrow down the list to 50. He told reporters, “it boiled down to…the motivation and professionalism of the applicants and their 'fit' with the job and Tourism Queensland”.

September 10, 2013 <The sound of rain at midnight >The sound of rain at midnight. Right now / At this moment/, there's a continuous sound of rain against the window. Dark in the night, the pattering of raindrops sounds like they are knocking on the window glass to enter the room.

September 11,2013<Introduce abut Their life -Where they own> I feel good today.Why? Let me tell you why.I have been teaching second grade students in an elementary school since last Monday, and it will be continue on till this winter. Today these children had an active introduce abut their life -where they own./= about their life where they stay etc. By the way, all the childrens were so interested and they had so much fun.
The children made cameras mikes and also made announcements cards.They announced each team very pleasurably, and I was so pleased as well.
