Martin Luther King was born on 15th January,1929. He was an American clergyman, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the African-American Civil Rights Movement. He had an older sister, and a younger brother. At the age of six, his two friends refused to play with him because he was black: This was his first experience of racial segregation.
At the age of fifteen, he went to an university that was reserved for black boys. Afterwards, he got his doctorate at the University of Boston in June, 18th 1955. Meanwhile, he married the singer, Coretta Scott on June 18th 1953. They had four children. He met Rosa Parks on the 1st of December 1955, a black woman who was jailed because she wouldn't give her place to a white man. After this event, King started the boycott with the aid of his black comrades and the people who organized the car sharing. He organized nonviolent protests against black segregation. In 1957, He played an important role in the foundation of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) which elected him president until his death. He went on marches for suffrage of African-American, desegregation, worker rights and others. He received the support of President Kennedy and his wife. The police became violent and the media showed the images to the whole world. On October 14th 1964, Martin Luther King became the youngest Nobel Prize winner for having eliminated racial segregation. In 1965 Martin Luther King expressed his doubts on the role of the United States in the Vietnam War. In 1966 King and other organizations tried to extend the movement towards the North. At the end of March 1968, Martin Luther King went to Memphis in Tennessee to support black dustman who were on strike. On April 4th 1968 Martin Luther King was murdered by a white segregationist on his balcony of the Lorraine Motel.
This murder sparked a lot of protests and riots.
Martin Luther King is the African-American man who I admire the most. From a young age he suffered racial segregation. He fought different ways but always in non-violent ways. He realized a brilliant course and he got a lot of diplomas. He brought better conditions for the poor guys and black guys but this was very difficult for him. He was imprisoned and he received a lot of physical abuse. He lived his life to help others and I find this very courageous.

    - That's all very well, but the Guardian Angels are only amateurs trying to do the jobs of trained policemen.
    - I still think the British public prefer to see a uniformed policeman on the street. Why don't you just go back to America?
