B．Good. I almost overslept.
A．You should get out of bed and start getting ready. 　

A．You're 20 minutes late. What happened?
B．Sorry. I overslept.

After finishing her song, the young woman was invited to the couple's table. Was she interested in trying her luck on Broadway? She was but, being a waitress, she'd need a year or two to leave town. Well, the man was willing to give her money to go to NY. The young woman was incredulous, but the man's wife smile at her and told him, "He's serious, honey."

Next Monday, the young woman was in the man's office. As he wrote her a check, he told her: "This money is not a gift. You'll have to pay it back in five years, without interest. But only if you can succeed in showbiz. And there are two conditions. First, my name should remain anonymous. And second, if you ever are in a position to help someone with talent, you have to do it."

The check was for a substantial amount of money. The woman went to NY and worked as singer. Exactly five years after the man wrote her the check, she was able to repay it. She became a successful singer and actress.

Maybe you've heard about her. Her name is Carol Burnett.

A Man in the Dark
One night a woman went out for drinks with her girlfriends. She left the bar late at night. When she got in her car, she saw someone smoking in a pick-up. She was driving on the deserted highway when she noticed she was low on gas. She was irritated because there was no sign of civilization anywhere. After a few miles, she pulled into a gas station. She was frightened by the odd behavior of the attendant. He was smiling strangely while he was filling up the tank. While she was looking for money in her bag, he tried to get her to leave the car and join him in the office. She refused and drove off as fast as she could.
As she drove, she noticed a lone pair of headlights in her rear-window mirror, approaching fast.
The car pulled up behind her, dangerously close to her car, and the brights flashed. Now she was getting nervous. The car behind her kept flashing the lights on and off making signs with his hands. It followed her until she reached home and pulled into her driveway. Terrified, she made a mad dash into her house and called the police. As she ran from the car, so did the driver of the car behind her - and he screamed, "Lock the door and call the police ! Call 911 !"
When the police arrived the horrible truth was finally revealed to the woman. The man in the car had been trying to save her. As he pulled up behind her and his headlights illuminated her car, he saw the silhouette of a man with an axe rising up from the back seat behind her, so he flashed his brights to warn her.
The police arrested the killer in the back seat who turned out to be an escaped mental patient.

2013.12.14 . I went out walking a little with Jjang-ah a while ago, and I found that my car was covered with snow. And the roads had become icy. I helped Jjang-ah walk for a short distance, and then I tried to knock the snow from my car . However, it was not easy because it was a little frozen since evening. So, I will try it tomorrow when it's sunny. (=I will try to remove the snow tomorrow afternoon.)
