Hello! Today, we will talk about St. Patrick. Who is he exactly? St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland. He was born in the 4th century. Everybody thought that he was Irish, but he was Welsh. When he was very young, he was kidnapped and so people took him to Irleand. He lived a terrible time in Ireland. Indeed, he had to work as a slave. He was very religious: he read the Bible and prayed all the time. St Patrick's Day is today on March 17th, because it refers to the death anniversary of Saint Patrick in 461. The mascot for St. Patrick's Day, is a man wearing a green hat, but also a red beard. He is known as the leprechaun. St Patrick's Day was declared a public holiday in 1903 thanks to the Bank Holiday Act of 1903, an act passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Nowadays, we celebrate St Patrick's Day as a way to celebrate heritage and culture which is very present in the United States of America, because a lot of Irish migrated to the United States resulted from the Great Famine of 1845-1852. Also, we can find a lot of parades, and the most important in the world is in New York today. Furthermore, the Shamrock Shake was created in 1967 by Hal Rosen, ownerof a McDonald's in Connecticut, who prepared this delicious mint shake to celebrate St Patrick's Day.

This slide is a chart of how has increased the temperature in our planet in the last few years.
Numerous scientific studies and observations confirm the trend of increasing temperatures
globally. The increase in global temperatures over the last few decades can
be attributed to the intensification of the greenhouse effect, primarily caused by human activities.
The burning of fossil fuels, deforestation, industrial processes, and agricultural practices release
greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide into the atmosphere. These
gases trap heat from the sun, preventing it from escaping into space, and result in the warming of
the Earth's surface.
My final slide is my conclusion. It is becoming more evident that the
solution rests within our control: We must transition to renewable sources of energy, promote
reforestation, and endorse sustainable agricultural practices. Transitioning towards sustainable
methods and decreasing our dependence on resources that harm the environment. Although no
single solution can eradicate climate change entirely, a range of approaches and actions can
greatly mitigate its effects.

The first main cause of global warming is burning fossil fuels.This bullet
point just backs up my statement that we burn fossil fuels to produce energy. Unfortunately, the
majority of energy sources emit harmful gases, which poses a significant challenge.
Basically forests are the main carbon stores on our planet, when
they are cut down they release carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, which contributes to
climate change. Additionally, deforestation reduces the number of trees available to absorb CO2,
further exacerbating the problem. Therefore, addressing deforestation is crucial in mitigating the
impacts of global warming and preserving the planet's climate balance.
This also contributes primarily through the release of greenhouse gases such as methane
and nitrous oxide. Methane is emitted during livestock digestion (enteric fermentation) and manure management, while nitrous oxide is released from soil management practices like the use
of synthetic fertilizers. Overall, agriculture and farming are significant contributors to global
warming due to their emission of greenhouse gases and associated land use changes.

My capstone research project was to make known this topic because it is a necessity for
Americans to have knowledge of what’s going on around the world..The goal for my research was to find out the reasons why Climate Change is
happening in the world and how we can help make a difference. My research topic was chosen
based on the real effects we are seeing nowadays, the days getting hotter, the price of food rising,
etc.There are many people who are concerned about the situation of our planet. I think that if the
majority around the world contributed we would be able to see changes in the world.

I researched the main causes why global warming is
occurring. Which means global
warming is primarily caused by human activities, which release greenhouse gases into the
atmosphere, trapping heat and leading to rising temperatures worldwide. I will be showing data
graphs that demonstrate how temperatures have been increasing over the last few decades. I feel
that this information was important to support my topic.
What exactly is global warming? Well global warming is known as climate change- it
refers to a sudden rise in global average surface temperature, because of a high concentration of
greenhouse gases in the Earth's atmosphere.Now that we know more about exactly what global
warming is, let's delve into the main causes why it is occurring.

We have now departed from Embankment Pier.
We are driving westward along Victoria embankment.
We will go on in this direction until we reach London’s Clock Tower and the Houses of Parliament. That will be our first stop.
We will then go South and cross the River Thames on the Westminster Bridge and follow the South bank in the direction of Shakespeare’s Globe theatre. It will be the perfect place for our second stop.
We will then enjoy a third stop at Tower Bridge and we will cross the River Thames for the second time. We will pause at the Tower of London.
Lastly, you will be able to contemplate a faith monument : St Paul’s Cathedral. That will be our fifth and last stop!

After that, he stole the powers of Ra, the God of the sun, and of Tangaroa, the God of the Ocean, to give it to the humans ! He also took the immortality away from Hine-nui-te-po, the Goddess of Death, and he became a demigod. I think the Gods kidnapped him in revenge !

I am a cardiologist. I have just finished my studies. Currently, I work at a public hospital on the outskirts of Strasbourg. I take care of patients in a cardiology department, I perform echocardiograms and conduct / provide / carry out / perform some consultations.
I stay at the public hospital to further my training. Then, I intend to pursue a career in cardiology in private practice. It's better for adjusting one's work schedule, and it's more lucrative. Unfortunately in France, doctors in public hospitals are poorly paid. As soon as I finish my contract with my current hospital, I plan to move to join my family in the Pays Basque.
I learned English in high school, but my pronunciation was very poor. I'm trying to improve it so I can communicate more easily when I'm traveling.
