This document is a film poster. The film is entitled Oliver Twist. It was adapted from an English novel written by Charles Dickens. The film was directed by Roman Polanski. Oliver Twist is the name of the main character. The poster is composed of three parts. In the foreground we can see a boy. He is the focus of the photograph. He is running away suggesting that he is in danger, he looks anxious, a man is running after him. The boy is wearing ragged clothes and worn-out shoes, which suggest that the film is set in the 19th century. In the foreground we can see old houses. Maybe the scene is set in London during the Victorian period. The photo is blurred to show the dark side of life in nineteenth-century London. There was a lot of poverty at that time and a lot of crime. The hero is probably a pickpocket. The title of the film is written in the bottom right-hand corner in big red letters to show that the film is going to tell Oliver Twist's story.

It's a great responsibility to transform Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens into a film. Here are some of the people who do the job. Lights, camera, action ! Shooting a film : This scene of the dining hall in the workhouse was shot on a film set at studios in London. The actor Barney Clark who plays Oliver Twist is a member of the cast. The crew is a group of people who make a film. The crew is divided into different departments: camera, visual effects, sound, hair and make-up, wardrobe. The director decides how the film will look : the camera angles, lights, sets. He also chooses the actors and directs them. Sound : Look at the microphone boom. The boom operator has to position the boom near the actors, but out of the camera's view. Cameras : The cameraman shoots a scene. It's a creative job but it's technical too. A take is a scene that is filmed without stopping. The director says "cut" when a scene is finished. The cameras and sound stop. The clapperboard is shown before a scene is filmed.
