This document is a film poster. The film is entitled The Hunger Games. It was adapted from an American novel written by Suzanne Collins. The film was directed by Gary Ross in 2012. The title of the film is printed at the bottom of the poster in big gold letters. The 3D font suggests that the film is set in the future. The release date, March 23, stands out at the bottom of the poster but the names of the actors are largely unreadable. The poster carries the caption "The world will be watching" at the top. That phrase catches the viewer's attention but it also refers to the reality TV show that the people of Panem must watch.
In the background , the photograph focuses on the protagonist, it is a close-up of Katniss Everdeen. She is pointing her arrow at us. She is pulling back her bow ready to shoot. The bow must be a valuable weapon for her. She must be very brave because she is surrounded by fire and yet, she hides all her emotions. The heroine is a symbol of survival and resistance.
In the foreground, the Mockingjay medallion on fire catches our attention. The girl's hand is blurred but the bird is clear. We want to know the message behind this symbol. The poster only uses the colours of fire : red, yellow, orange in order to emphasize the impression of danger, fear and death. The girl and the bird are both holding an arrow on fire, which suggests that the film is about fighting and suffering.

Have you seen "Psycho" by Hitchcock? The famous director is very talented and certainly knows how to play with the spectators' nerves. He manipulates his fear often by suggesting rather than by showing.... Let's see what the movie is all about.

It is based on a book called "Psycho". Hitchcock bought the rights to the book and collected all the copies he could so that very few people would know the story. That was a great way to surprise people, wasn't it?

Hitchcock's fans always expect a cameo of the director in his movies and Psycho is no exception. The cameo happens very early in the movie... and the spectator isn't distracted.

When the movie was released, Hitchcock insisted that "no one be admitted in the movie theatre after the film started". His main character would be killed after only 30 minutes.... Spectators don't expect that when they go to the cinema, do they?

At the beginning of the movie, Marion, a pretty blonde is worried. Her lover is in debts. How could she help him? She meets a rich oilman who carries a large amount of money. She could steal it... Will she do it? Will she resist? A close up on the money and the spectator knows Marion will steal the money.... Soon after she is on the run...she is in danger.

Will the police find her? Hitchcock plays with the spectator's nerves, there's a police car behind Marion's car..... Marion is anxious. After many hours of driving in the rain, she decides to stop for the night. The place is dark and remote, it's a strange little motel.. What's going to happen? it's so scary!

The owner of the place is a young man called Norman, he looks shy and nice. He takes care of his sick mother. The spectator feels relieved and enjoys the chat between Marion and Norman. When Marion is alone in her bedroom, she looks more relaxed. She takes a shower and washes away her tiredness and guilt. but Hitchcock is preparing the spectator for one of the most famous scenes in the history of the cinema: Marion is murdered by a mysterious woman. The killing is more suggested than actually but the spectator is absolutely terrified. Look and listen....

Norman cleans up... Marion is dead but her sister and a detective are going to investigate starting at the motel...

Psycho's ending is also very vivid in the memories of the spectators.... Hitchcock tested the fear factor of the scene by placing a corpse in Leigh's room. Her screams were so loud that Hitchcock knew his ending was effective. Hitchcock certainly had a great sense of humour on top of his great talent

No wonder Hitchcock is seen as the most influential filmmaker of all time, and one very significant artist..
