Father Wolf and Mother Wolf are at home.
It is night
Suddenly they hear a noise : waaahhh…..
“What is it?” Mother Wolf asks
“It’s a baby!” Father Wolf says
Father Wolf gives the baby to Mother Wolf
“Look, he wants my milk!” Mother Wolf says
“You can live here baby,” Father Wolf says
“And now your name is Mowgli.”
Mowgli is happy with the wolves
He eats, plays and sleeps with the baby wolves
But one day, Shere Khan, the tiger comes.
“Humans are dangerous, “he says “I want to kill the boy”
“No,” Father Wolf says “Mowgli is a member of the family. Go away, Shere Khan!”
The tiger is furious. But he goes away
Mowgli goes to school…in the jungle
Baloo the brown bear and Bagheera the black panther are his teachers. He learns to swim, he learns to hunt and he learns to speak to all the animals
But one day, the monkeys kidnap Mowgli
“I want to go home!” Mowgli says. “No,” the monkeys say “ we want a new chief. We want you!”
Mowgli is angry. He’s scared. Finally he hears a terrible noise. GRRRR…..
“It’s Bagheera! “ he says. Rrrrraaahhh…
“And Baloo! Hurray!”
Sssssss…
“And Kaa the snake! Fantastic!”

The battle is terrible. The panther, the bear and the snake are hurt but they win. They run away with Mowgli
One night, Bagheera says to Mowgli “You are in danger. Shere Khan is coming. he wants to kill you.”
“But the wolves can defend me,” Mowgli says. “They are my friends”
“Not all,” Bagheera says. “They are scared of humans. but there is a solution. Go to the human village and take the fire. The fire terrifies Shere Khan.”
All the wolves are assembled. Shere Khan is here too. “Mowgli is not welcome in the jungle,” he says “Let’s kill the boy!”
Father Wolf says “no!”
but a lot of wolves say “yes!”
Suddenly Mowgli arrives. “I have fire!” he says “Go away, Shere Khan or I burn you”
The tiger is scared. He runs away
Mowgli is sad. “A lot of wolves don’t like me” he says “So I’m going to the human village.”
And he goes to the human village
“You are not in the jungle here!” the villagers say.
“Wash! Put your trousers on! Sleep in your bed! Go to school!”
Life in the village is difficult for Mowgli
Mowgli works with the cows in a field. one day, he sees two wolves. “Mowgli,”the wolves say “Shere Khan is here!”
“Where?” Mowgli asks “In the ravine, he’s sleeping but he wants to kill you!”
“Never!” Mowgli says “I’ve got an idea, Listen!”
the wolves run after the cows. The cows make a big circle around the sleeping tiger. “Hello, Shere Khan!,” Mowgli says. The tiger wakes up. he wants to attack. But it’s impossible! the wolves push the cows in the direction of Shere Khan. the big cows walk over Shere Khan and kill the tiger
Now the wolves and Mowgli are assembled. “Shere Kahn is dead,” the boy says, “Hurray!” the wolves say “Mowgli, do you want to be the chief of the wolves?”
“No,” Mowgli answers “I’m not a wolf but I want to live in the jungle!” Mowgli abandons the wolves. So he hasn’t got a family…… but he has got a lot of friends!
