Now I am rewriting my Korean entry from yesterday in English, and recording it in Korean too. I hope my recording can help friends learn Korean (by hearing how Korean is spoken). (Please correct my mistakes. Thank you very much!)
~~★((Nov 6th 2010) ) These are pictures of my two grops of students, ' my adult students from the Chinese hobby class ' and my 'Elementary school kids'. And, let `s see, what were they doing that day? (Let's see what they were doing that day.)The first class: (2010.11.4. on Thursday afternoon)
• Can you guess what they were doing at that time? Yeah~~right! They were eating and drinking. They are my students and they study Chinese (beginner level) with me.It`s a kind of a hobby class. But as you know they prefer eating and drinking to studying.... ( But, as you know they like eating and drinking rather than studying.) How cute they are ! I like them. Can you understand? (My students) They are really jolly[cheerful, pleasant] . I like them. Surely they like me, too? The second class? :Yeah~ Yahoo! Dance! Dance! Dancing with joy! Singing cheerfully! They are kids in the first grade of elementary school. How cute are they? How lovely are they ? The following song is their theme song. Let`s enjoy and sing together! The day before yesterday (11.3.Wed) I went to work as a substitute(relief) teacher.I felt so happy I could have time with them. They danced and sang cheerfully~~~~ I believe you can sense their pleasure by just looking at these pictures/photos.

I wonder when I came to lose interests in home-stay programs for foreign people...

I used to be a member of the International Communication Agency, and accepted some foreign students as a home-stay mom several times. Every time when I was asked to be a host, I tried to my best. However, there were things that I did not like. I can't explain the reason why I was not satisfied with it. Maybe because I wanted genuine human relationships with people in any case, but I couldn't get it somehow before.

Last week, there was an event that completely overturned my fixed notions about accepting a home-stay. It was like dreamy days that one of my Lang-8 friends visited me and stayed at my house for four days. I still cannot believe this happened to me in real.

As you might have already realized that I am quite a private person on the internet. I haven't talked a lot about my privacy, but only about my thoughts and ideas in my journals. So, I was a little worried about how much he knew about me. Despite the condition, he bothered to come down to my place all the way from the center of Japan by train.

The American man, my family, my Japanese friends and I had really great time together last week. I felt that he was like one of my family members. I liked to see him trying to adapt himself to the different circumstances. I'm not sure why I was so impressed with the time we spent together, maybe because we enjoyed our cultural differences, maybe because we had the same experiences?

But, there is one thing that I'm sure of. I really love the moment when I feel a genuine friendship is being built.. It's pretty intense.

When we meet an unexpected problems / difficulties we (get )frustrated sometimes. Me too, sometimes I feel tired, sometimes I don't want (to )think about anything..., sometimes I would like to escape from reality....
Hummmm......Since / Because I know well 'I should face up my reality', and also 'I need to accept those facts', and 'I have to pick up (my) heart / take courage and overcome it.
It's weekend. I' m writing this entry with my smartphone in my bed........@_@I'd like to sleep..I'd like to take rest. bye~[I feel I made a few mistakes, If you find any mistakes please correct them.]

With infinite complacency men went to and from over this globe about their little affairs, serene in their assurance of their empire over matter. It is possible that the infusoria under the microscope do the same. No one gave a thought to the older worlds of space as sources of human danger, or thought of them only to dismiss the idea of life upon them as impossible or improbable. It is curious to recall some of the mental habits of those departed days. At most terrestrial men fancied there might be other men upon Mars, perhaps inferior to themselves and ready to welcome a missionary enterprise. Their world is far gone in its cooling and this world is still crowded with life, but crowded only with what they regard as inferior animals. To carry warfare sunward is, indeed, their only escape from the destruction that, generation after generation, creeps upon them.
And before we judge of them too harshly we must remember what ruthless and utter destruction our own species has wrought, not only upon animals, such as the vanished bison and the dodo, but upon its inferior races. The Tasmanians, in spite of their human likeness, were entirely swept out of existence in a war of extermination waged by European immigrants, in the space of fifty years. Are we such apostles of mercy as to complain if the Martians warred in the same spirit?

(Nov. 6th.2011) Today`s picture is (some) cabbage which my family ate yesterday (for) dinner.How is it? Doesn`t it (look ) very bright yellow and seem very fresh? Yeah, it was so fresh and so delicious, and also it was crisp/crunchy.Oh in Korea, when autumn (comes), people make kimchi with cabbage.
Making kimchi is a very important thing (for) Korean( families), in order (to) prepare (for) winter.
So it`s part of the annual Korean family routine.May be you already know, you can't imagine (life in Korea) without Kimchi (on the dining table). Oh,if you live in Korea, you can try fresh cabbage heart. Just autumn cabbage!
