My favourite place is a shoe shop called « Kicker's ». It's next to the train station, right in front of the bakery. It's the best shoe shop in town! I like it because they sell all sorts of shoes : trainers, boots, sneakers and sandals. I really enjoy red shoes.

Hollywood is famous for its film and television studios. On the list of things to see are the Walk of Fame, the Chinese Theatre with its famous hand and footprints in its cement courtyard, and the Kodak Theatre where the Oscar ceremony is held each year.
The Walk of Fame
Today more than 2,400 celebrities have their pink star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard : actors, actresses, musicians, directors, producers, television and radio personalities. But Mickey Mouse and the Simpsons also have their own stars.
Famous studios
Los Angeles is famous for its studios, like Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount and Universal Studios. In Hollywood, you can tour Universal Studios and visit famous sets, like the sets of Pirates of the Caribbean or Jurassic Park.
Universal studios is a working studio, where movies are shot every day. So, if you're lucky, you can meet a famous stuntman or a famous star there !

My name is Mark. I'm 38. I’m half American, half Turkish. My dad is from Turkey and my mom is from the USA. I was born in California, and have lived here my whole life. I’ve never been to any other countries, and I feel really bad about it, as my dream is to travel the world. How are you?
I just came back from L.A. where I had a great time. I visited Universal Studios. I took a train and I saw the big plastic shark that they used in "Jaws". Then, I saw the bike that E.T. rides in the sky! And I went into the ballroom where Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet dance in "Titanic".The evening was more scary: we visited the house where Alfred Hitchcock shot his film "Psycho"! Creepy, hey! I opened the door and there was Christopher Lee! (You know the man who played Dracula). But it was only a German tourist. So I wasn't too scared after all.
Well, I miss you a lot and I hope I'll see you soon! Anyway, when I come back, we'll have a big party!
