黑洞
有些恆星質量甚大，當其核心燃料用完時，得不到能量來產生足夠的壓力與重力相抗衡，因此造成重力收縮，且因其萬有引力甚大，若有任何光或物質接近，皆為其吸捲而壓縮於無形，亦不可能釋放任何物質及光線，故稱為「黑洞」。又因其為坍縮狀態，故亦稱為「坍縮星」
