その日は早朝から風が強く、小石が降ってでもいるかのような大きな雨音が屋根から聞こえていました。窓の外をみると、黄みがかった灰色の空の下で木々が強風に揺さぶられています。時折、稲妻が空をパッと照らし、骨まで響くような雷鳴がとどろきます。家の電気が消えたりついたりして、この悪天候はいつまで続くのだろうと不安でした。
