"I think, ugh*, I think in many cultures, street culture, ugh, tattoos is very common. It's a way to, to express yourself. It's, ugh, just like music or painting or any other art form.
You know, when I was younger, my friends, they gave me this nickname "Zombie." This was, ugh, way before the ink, you know. And, it just kind of grew on me.
I got ugh, I've been rocking, ugh, this skeleton-themed suit ever since I was, well you know, it started, ugh, quite a few years ago. I had one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten...four is fourteen. I had fourteen tattoos on my front before it got turned into more of a skeletal suit. My back was bare, so that's why it looks like it's still one piece. But, all in all, Frank Lewis, in Montreal, owner of Dermafix Tattoo Shop, he's the mastermind behind the monster. He's a real, he's a real doctor."
-"What is the craziest reaction you've ever gotten from somebody when you're like walking around?"
-"Well, I got into the carnival. Sometimes, when you're in the street, you know, and you hold the door open for somebody, sometimes they go out of their way to use the other door, you know,they're going to hide their kids from you.
<incomprehensible> get away!...it didn't work. <incomprehensible>
Say a location where people go pay to see me, they're going to be pushing their kids towards me. 'Come on, come on, take pictures with this guy!' you know, so it really depends where you are."
-"So, you've always <incomprehensible, but in context, probably she means>seen yourself as a performer, really."
-"Ugh, I've been doing free shows for over four years now. When we book a venue, it's like 'Welcome to a Night in Hell,'
mostly by the <incomprehensible>... my eight foot long boa. And umm, so, we'll start off a night with an incantation of the dead and depends on the venue, you know, ugh, we have firebreathers and spinners and whatnot. And then, the night goes on, you know, the dead come to life and we have a henchman to chop your top.
I've, I mean, I've been into, like, dream shoots and, and costumes and this kind of stuff say for different reasons, for different shows or whatever."
-Mmhmm.
-"So, I mean, the concept isn't new to me, but, umm, 'jet-set'. I mean I've been traveling the world since last February. So, it's been kind of crazy."
-"And before that, you really hadn't traveled at all, right?"
-"I couldn't get a passport."
