Now, when you come to the idea of online dating obviously it can be very abused. It can be a polite form of prostitution, fornication, adultery. But it can also be immensely well-used. Internet can bring you the Bible, the table and cyclicals, bring you the writers... writings of many many great people. It also can bring the worst forms of pornography. And it's why in our community we don't have Internet, we don't have a computer, we don't have television. We haven't missed the things, as far as I'm concerned.
But, Internet can be well-used. It should be. And what Catholics Online began with long ago, Anthony contacted me about this, I supported it and I still support it. Because it's the way people of this age do meet each other. And let's give them the opportunity to meet good people.
It's an Internet age and let's use it for the best. And what experiences I have had with it are very positive. People who I have suggested that they use it end up getting married to a very fine person without having to spend a lot of money at the bar or other unseemly places to meet people.
So I think it's excellent, however, it's not the whole answer. People have to prepare themselves by thought, and self-knowledge, and prayer. For the self-giving that marriage requires.
