I generated sub-titles with this great tool, it is pretty simple to use actually although looks daunting perhaps. Here are all the sub titles it generated without any correction from me. In a second I will post corrections from 2:25 on as requested:

[00:00.000 --> 00:05.720] The wonderful world of Disney sparked to life in black and white on this day 100 years ago.
[00:05.720 --> 00:06.720] Colour please?
[00:06.720 --> 00:11.240] Yes, the animation giant founded by brothers Walt and Roy Disney in 1923.
[00:11.240 --> 00:18.040] And it was all about Mickey Mouse at first, this plucky character here, the company's first big star and later its corporate icon.
[00:18.040 --> 00:25.640] Well, from small cartoon studio, Disney is now the biggest media company in the world with a market value of more than $300 billion.
[00:25.640 --> 00:27.720] And what huge influence it's had.
[00:27.880 --> 00:40.520] From Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first animated feature film all the way back in 1937 to Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, 101 Dalmatians, Lion King and more recently Moana.
[00:40.520 --> 00:43.160] Far too many big hits to name.
[00:43.160 --> 00:52.480] In the 90s, Disney embraced computer animation, partnering with Pixar to make the groundbreaking Toy Story come to life and later the critically acclaimed Finding Nemo.
[00:52.520 --> 00:58.280] It also found success beyond animation in 2009, buying the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
[00:58.280 --> 01:06.840] Yes, the Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Black Panther and Spider-Man in some of the highest grossing movies of all time.
[01:06.840 --> 01:17.960] Disney also owns Lucasfilm, home of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and in 2019 took over Hollywood giant 20th Century Fox, think TV's The Simpsons and the Avatar movies.
[01:17.960 --> 01:27.280] One news US correspondent Logan Church looks at how the global giant and Tinkerbell spread the magic of Disney's pixie dust across the world.
[01:27.280 --> 01:34.640] Mickey Mouse's first animated housing, as his creator began building what's now a global giant.
[01:34.640 --> 01:42.640] He was really intensely focused on making something that was good and that would touch people.
[01:42.640 --> 01:47.440] This was Disney's first feature film released in 1937.
[01:47.440 --> 01:51.400] The family fortune, we had everything wrapped up in Snow White.
[01:51.400 --> 01:55.520] In fact, the banker I think was losing more sleep than I was.
[01:55.520 --> 01:57.520] It was a gamble that paid off.
[01:57.520 --> 02:02.240] Legs are required for jumping, dancing, strolling along.
[02:02.240 --> 02:06.600] As Disney's animated hits connected with millions of people worldwide.
[02:06.600 --> 02:12.320] Most people's first experience of being in a movie theater is usually a Disney movie.
[02:12.320 --> 02:14.000] Disneyland is your land.
[02:14.000 --> 02:22.840] And in the 1950s, the movie fantasy became a reality for anyone who could afford a ticket with the first Disneyland opening.
[02:22.840 --> 02:26.120] Now there's 12 around the world.
[02:26.120 --> 02:37.200] The Walt Disney Company of today looks very different to the company formed by Walt and his brother Roy 100 years ago and now employs more than 200,000 people.
[02:37.200 --> 02:43.400] But despite the Disney magic traveling right across the globe, it's had its fair share of controversy.
[02:43.440 --> 02:48.960] It's only recently reached a deal with striking writers that hasn't reached one with actors.
[02:48.960 --> 02:57.520] The company's also copped criticism over using racial stereotypes, showing one dimensional gender roles and lacking rainbow representation.
[02:57.520 --> 03:03.120] The characters in the early films are almost exclusively white, almost exclusively heterosexual.
[03:03.120 --> 03:13.480] So the company really has had to think about how they maintain that sort of same brand story with additional change as they've come 100 years on.
[03:18.400 --> 03:23.600] New films and new characters are just parts of the company's new story.
[03:23.600 --> 03:28.760] With today's Disney buying what it couldn't build itself from rival animator Pixar.
[03:34.120 --> 03:38.320] To the most famous movie franchise of all time.
[03:38.320 --> 03:39.720] As for the future.
[03:39.720 --> 03:43.000] Well, I can't say what I think our culture will look like in 100 years.
[03:43.000 --> 03:49.000] I'm almost positive that Disney will be smack in the middle of reflecting exactly what that is.
[03:49.000 --> 03:51.120] 100 years and counting.
[03:51.120 --> 03:53.400] Off to the cupboard with you now, Chip.
[03:53.400 --> 03:55.640] Logan Church, One News, New York.

Sorry for the repeat submission of my first transcription, the Subit button didn't seem to do anything so I pressed it multiple times. :-( And cannot delete transcriptions.

Whisper AI only made two mistakes:

* where the present says, I think, "had had" and not "has had". The latter would be more common but the first is also grammatically correct I think.
* It's only recently reached a deal with striking writers ~that~ *but* hasn't reached one with actors. (the presenter says "but" not "that")

[02:22.840 --> 02:26.120] Now there's 12 around the world.
[02:26.120 --> 02:37.200] The Walt Disney Company of today looks very different to the company formed by Walt and his brother Roy 100 years ago and now employs more than 200,000 people.
