David Letterman: Yeah. So, but it wasn't...you were not scarred for life?

Carell: Well, I'm talking about it now!

DL: Do you still own like the village...town square store? What do they call them?

SC: A general store.

DL: In a New England town? What town is it?

SC: Marshfield Hills.

DL: And will you be spending the holidays there?

SC:I will be manning the cash register.

DL: No really?

SC: And selling muffins.

DL: Hahaha no.

SC:In my little Santa hat.

DL: Well thats sweet, thats sweet.

SC: I go in quite a bit yeah. My sister-in-law runs it. And yeah, its a nice gathering.

DL: Are the kids excited about the uh..Christmas?

SC: Very very excited. They can't wait, it's gonna be fun.

DL: Was it good for you when you were a kid?

SC: Yeah, generally speaking. There was one Christmas that I wanted something, I don't know if you are familiar with it, it was called a skittle bowl set? They don't make them anymore. Essentially, you put these bowling pins on a platform and you throw this ball thats connected to a chain and you try to swing and hit the pins down. That was the only present I wanted and I made it very evident to my parents that that's what I wanted. Came down Christmas morning, and they had given it to my brother. And he could have cared less! He was like "eh, skittle bowl, whatever, ha". And I, but you know, its all you can do as a kid to not show, but, but...you know, I...I held it together.

DL: Yeah. So, but it wasn't...you were not scarred for life?

SC: Well, I'm talking about it now!
