-He de contarte, - dijo el maestro - la historia más fantástica de cuanto tus oídos hayan escuchado jamás. Pero antes debes cerrar los ojos. - Y mientras esto decía, sus rigurosas manos se posaron sobre los párpados del imberbe aprendiz.
- Ahora, - prosiguió el maestro. - escucha con atención. Este relato habla sobre un ambicioso e inteligente anciano, que deseoso de robar la juventud de la más bella de sus discípulos, les obliga a cerrar los ojos con el pretexto de contarle la historia más fantástica de cuanto sus oídos hubiesen escuchado jamás.
Tras un inquietante silencio, el alumno abrió sus cansados ojos y vio, horrorizado, cómo una silueta abandonaba la habitación.
