Harry Potter was born in Godric's Hollow, where he lived with his parents like a normal wizarding family. But one day, when he was a baby, Lord Voldemort came to their house and killed his parents. He also tried to kill Harry, but the curse rebounded and hit Lord Voldemort himself. This made Harry incredibly famous in the wizarding world, but it didn't mean that Voldemort was gone for good. So, to protect him from his enemy, Dumbledore, the greatest wizard, took him to his aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle were called Mr. and Mrs. Dursley and they were two regular humans, or "muggles". Harry lived with them and their son Dudley until he was 11. He didn't know that he was a wizard and of course he had no idea that he was one of the most famous people in the wizarding world. On his eleventh birthday, Hagrid comes to fetch Harry and take him to Hogwarts, the most prestigious school of wizardry. Once at Hogwarts, Harry meets Dumbledore, the headmaster. Dumbledore takes him under his wing and acts as a mentor to him. He teaches him to be brave and shows him how to use his powers. At Hogwarts, Harry is the youngest Quidditch player in a century and his favourite subject is Defence Against the Dark Arts. Whilst at Hogwarts, Lord Voldemort keeps coming back to try to kill Harry, but with the help of his best friends Hermione and Ron, also Luna and Neville, he ultimately defeats Voldemort and he manages to protect the wizarding world from evil.
