Welcome everybody to the IAC, the international academy of consciousness. We are here today because we're going to talk about spiritual evolution and out-of-body experiences. I know that probably several of you already have some experience or quite a bit of experience with out-of-body experiences, and probably others of you, you have felt and had sensations and are interested in the topic even though maybe you haven't had as many experiences.

So, let's begin, first of all, by discussing a little bit about the phenomena, and, at the end, I am going to introduce a little bit better the IAC (the International Academy of Consciousness) and the activities, events, and classes that we give.

So err, the first thing that probably makes people start to wonder about the out of body experiences are these sensations that many times we feel as we are falling asleep or sometimes as we are waking up. These are the sensations of this connection from the body. So we can see here a list of them, so these are sensations that are the same when we are going outside our body and also when we are coming back into the body. So err maybe a couple of the couple of the ones that I wanted to focus on since we don't have time to go through all of them, is, first of all, the vibrational state which is the sensation, this vibratory sensation that we feel inside of us. Sometimes we are woken up in the middle of the night and sometimes certain people feel as if there's an earthquake happening of some internal shaking of them and from this the disconnection occurs.

This actually sometimes feels pleasant, sometimes feels surprising, sometimes because of this it may even scare certain people, this internal vibration. But also I wanted to focus especially on this other one that is down here, (that) you can see that it's called the Projective Catalepsy. The Projective Catalepsy sometimes is called (of the) sleeping paralysis, and this is this moment when we wake up, many times in the morning or the middle of the night, and we feel that we cannot move our physical body - we are completely rigid. What is happening (on) that moment is really that we are much more disconnected - much more outside the body than inside the body. So umm, what occurs is that normally every night as we fall asleep, our physical body disconnects, f- or our astral body disconnects from the physical body, and we stay basically floating above the body, maybe separated by a couple of inches - 4 inches, 6 inches, it varies from person to person. So to give you an image of how this looks, this is more or less like this. So in this situation we spend basically most of our night, and what happened on this specific occasion, is that we came back into our body, we already woke up, we already recuperated our awareness, but we haven't fully connected to the physical body, yet. So you can see in this image all of these sort of, like, energy connections between the physical body and the so-called astral body, that also has received several other names, psychosoma being the- the main one. And these energetic connections are basically what allow us to disconnect from the body, and to come back into the body, safely. I should say, the out of body experience is actually a very safe activity. Something that (it) is observed is that this situation of the projective catalepsy - even though it can scare us quite a bit the first time - is to a certain extent a normal sensation of disconnection from the body, and nothing wrong will happen to the person. There are basically two ways in which we can stop this condition, you know, the moment that it's happening to us. So, the first one is, we should relax, we should try to calm down, and then we should try to concentrate on making one small movement.

Usually things that can work (is), for example, moving our head(s) sideways a little bit, or putting all of our attention in trying to move our foot - you know, one of our feet - to the side. Ah, this can also work, and normally the moment that we have been able to make one s-, one small movement, we are already connected to the physical body, and now we can move it. We can, you know, again, you know ah, have our normal motion. This is one thing. The other thing that we can do so as to... break this condition, is - even though it goes a little bit against common sense, but it can help us in a more productive way, so as to have more out of body experiences - is, at this moment that our body is paralysed, we are usually making an effort to come back into the body, to our normal state, and to the state that we know that we are comfortable with. But something that we can also do at that moment is, since we are a little bit more disconnected than connected, the best is, at that moment, to think about "rolling" outside the body. Usually when, at that moment, since we are more disconnected, we will go outside the body very easily. We can have an out of body experience, and once we come back, we're not going to feel the projective catalepsy anymore. So, this is, you know ahh, something that will, will help us, to have out of body experiences, or more out of body experiences. So (that, ahh), to a certain extent, the conclusion of this is: notice that this situation is not dangerous.

There are, of course, other sensations here that people feel, that can be quite, ah, common. One of them is the ballooning, the sensation of ah... as if we are a balloon, and we are growing and inflating and swelling, you know, in all directions. Sometimes we can feel as big as the house, or as big as the room. Really there isn't much limit with regards to this sensation. Another one is also, the ahh- that can be very common, is the falling sensation (with the jerk awake). Sometimes we dream that we are falling, falling, falling, and we wake up with a little bit of ahh- with a little bit of a jerk, at that moment. And these are typical sensations, again, of disconnection, and of coming back to the body.

Normally, sometimes people feel them aside from umm- feeling them the moment that they are having out of body experiences. Many times we feel them the moment that we are falling asleep at night, and waking up in the morning. Now, this leads us also to another interesting point: part of the reason (where) we have these sensations when we are falling asleep and when we are waking up, is because as I was mentioning just a moment ago when showing this transparency- this image here, we have the tendency to sleep in this condition. So, as we fall asleep in the, in the night, our normal, night's sleep, the astral body disconnects from the physical body and we basically spend the entire night floating above the body. Sometimes we may come, a little bit, for a few seconds, back into the body, and that's when we shift positions, but then we basically immediately disconnect and we are outside the body.

So, how can we corroborate this? How can we say that every body basically leaves from its physical body, every night? One of the things that we observe when we do the historical reasearch, (meaning) people who had the ability to do this in previous centuries, is that they describe this - they had their out of body experiences, they would go out and see their mother, their father, their son, whomever, that might be sleeping around (!), and they would see them disconnected from their physical body in that situation. Now coming to the contemporary times, to the 21st century; of course the researchers from the IAC, we realise this, the -umm- instructors of IAC, but also the students, once they develop their own abilities, they also corroborate this. But going even a little bit further, because we always have this philosphy here at ah... during our classes, and at IAC in (in) all of our activities, and in all the languages where we offer events, is this: Don't believe in anything, not even in what we are saying here at the IAC. So, experiment, have your own experiences.

We obviously have this phrase here, so that we don't appear as if we are, for example, trying to indoctrinate somebody, or to induce somebody into thinking that this is right or not. But on the contrary, we see that once the person has its own experiences, the person can corroborate on its own, can realise on its own, that all of these realities exist. And, because of this, we also keep this permanently on the wall of all of our classes all the time, and during all of our activities. So, relying on this phrase here, is that umm... We see how the students, once they have had their own experiences, and they leave the body and they see certain relatives of theirs that are sleeping, maybe in the room next door etc., this is when they are able to corroborate that they also sleep disconnected from the physical body. So to be a little more definitive, to be a little bit more categorical(ly), we could say everybody leaves the body every night, and this is corroborated by the observation: this is what everybody observes. So this leads us to a couple of interesting conclusions, or deductions. Because the moment that we realise that we already spend basically all of the nights of our life- or that we have already spent them- outside the body, we realise that disconnecting - the process of taking off, and leaving from the body - must not be that hard, since it happens involuntarily, almost like breathing.
