Did you hear the waves and the seagulls? Did it conjure up a picture in your mind of the sea, and perhaps a desert island? It's actually the theme music or signature tune used by a radio program elsewhere on the BBC called, "Desert Island Disks." And they have to chose eight favorite pieces of music, one book, and a luxury item to take with them. Hmm, what's an interesting idea? Ok, I think I would choose some pop music, a little bit of R&B. Oh! And some classical music to chill out to. My book would have to be a Roald Dahl book and I'll choose "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." And my luxury item has to be some salted popcorn. Uh um. On the island I learned how to build, hunt, fish, grow barely and rice, some corn, raise goats, make pots. I had everything I needed, except for a human companion. On dark days my heart heaved and swelled like a great whale.
