My name is Lisa Mc Neal , I'm 14 years old
I live with my mum and my younger brother,James my 2 degus and my turtle , in London . My parents are divorced , my dad lives in Liverpool.
I was born in Belfast on June 2nd but now I live in a house at 20 King's Road in London.
.My favourite subjects at school are Food Tech and Art , I'm fond of cooking and drawing. My favourite meal is Tikka massala ! and I can cook it very well !
I also like hanging out with my friends on Saturdays and doing shopping but I can't bear reading ! .Every Friday , after school I have painting lessons maybe one day I'll be an artist !

Hello and welcome to the Kino Talk Show ! A show where we review our favourite movies !

Today, we’re focusing on the greatest musicals ever, winner of 10 academy awards… West Side Story.

West Side Story was released in 1961 and directed by Jerome Robbins and Robert Wise.

It stars Natalie Wood as Maria,

George Chakiris as Bernardo,

Rita Moreno as Anita

Richard Breymer as Tony

and Russ Tamblyn as Riff.

The story is set in 1957 in New York City.

Two rival gangs compete for control of the Upper East Side.

On one side, the Sharks, who are immigrants from Puerto Rico.

There is Bernardo, who is leader of the Sharks and Maria’s older brother ; as well as Anita, who‘s Bernardo’s girlfriend and Maria’s best friend.

On the other side we’ll find the Jets, American born white youngsters. There’s Riff, leader of the Jets and Tony’s best friend.

This story turns into a modern American version of Romeo and Juliet when Tony, a Jet, falls in love with Maria, a Shark….

Global warming is the increase of temperature of Earth's surface , oceans and atmosphere.
Among the greenhouse gases, the increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the main cause of global warming. When people burn fossil fuels like coal, oil and natural gas, this adds carbon dioxide into the air. This is because fossil fuels contain lots of carbon.
When people cut down many trees , this means less carbon dioxide is taken out of the atmosphere by those plants and yet people have destroyed large parts of the Amazon rainforest , the lung of the Earth...
The most noticeable change because of this increase in temperature is the melting of the ice cap. As a consequence , the sea level has risen steadily.
As the Earth's surface temperature becomes hotter, the sea level becomes higher. The rise of sea level has caused coastal areas to flood. The weather has changed too, there are more and more droughts and natural catastrophes...
Deserts have increased in size. It is getting more difficult to grow plants and vegetables and to produce food.

Nothing to wear

Milana wants to go to the movies, but she has nothing to wear (as usual). She says to her great-grand auntie Lucy
, "I have nothing to wear!" "Wear my tiger-fur dress”, says her great-grand auntie. So Milana wears her auntie’s fur dress to the movies, but it looks funny. All of the people at the movies make fun of Milana.
The next day Milana wants to go to the swimming pool, but, as usual, she has nothing to wear. She says to her one year old little brother, Danya "I have nothing to wear!" "Wear my diaper!", says her little brother. So Milana wears his diaper to the swimming pool, but it looks funny. All of the people at the swimming pool make fun of her.
Next week, Milana’s mother has to go to PTM (parent-teacher meeting) , but she has nothing to wear. She says to Milana, "I have nothing to wear!" "Wear my black and white socks, the t-shirt with feathers and sequins, and some jeans" says Milana. So her mother wears all of those and goes to school.
The school principal sees Milana’s mom and says “Wow! You look great!”, and she presents a printer to Milana’s mother, for being the most stylish parent ever!
