The novel Timkey and Pinkey is about female oppression and the struggle for equality. Two sisters, Timkey and Pinkey, live in Pakistan, where many girls are denied dreams of a brighter future. Early in life, Timkey dreams to one day become a doctor, and Pinkey wishes to be a writer. However, in their youth, they are taught what their family traditions and religious culture have in store for them. Their future appears to veer far from what the girls had hoped for. Denied of the right to study, they question their faith, traditions, humanity, and what God really expects of women. Despite the hurdles, will they gain their right to education?

Hello and welcome to Ghost Story online! Last week you voted to nominate the three spookiest creatures in Ireland. So let’s discover who they are.
Number 3 is the Puca. This creature, which is believed to live in the mountains and hills of Ireland, is said to have many different appearances. But most of the time, a Puca is represent-ed as a black horse with fiery golden eyes. It is considered to bring both good and bad fortune. At times, it is said to help farmers while at other times, it leads them to destruction by lying and playing tricks on them. Number 2 is the Banshees. It is said that Banshees are terrifying and uncanny. They are often described as either ugly old ladies or beautiful young women with long, dishevelled hair. It is believed that people who can hear their screams will have an imminent death in their family. They usually live near cemeteries. Number1 The Dullahan. This wild horseman is sometimes seen or heard galloping in the darkest nights. It is usually said to be a man who is carrying his own head under his arm. His mouth is often described as smiling hideously and his eyes are constantly moving. On his horse, he uses a whip, which is made of a human spine. It is believed that when he stops riding someone will soon die. Only one thing is known to frighten this creature: gold.

The Production Department points out that if there is nobody to manufacture the products, there is nothing to sell. The Quality Control Department says that they check that every product leaves in perfect condition, and mistakes can be expensive. Two other departments think that they are important because they are in contact with customers all the time: Logistics, which has to dispatch and deliver products on time; and Customer Service, which has to resolve all kinds of problems to keep customers happy. The Human Resources Department highlights that their job is to recruit the best employees for all departments, and I.T. has to maintain the computer systems and I.T. infrastructure within the company.

The best answer, of course, is that all departments are equally important. Each department has to work with and for the others. If one department isn’t working correctly, it can have a negative effect on everybody.

Well I have to say, I never really thought about a career until I got to my last year of school. Lots of people here say that they knew exactly what they wanted to do right from a very young age, but I never really had any burning ambitions. In the end I just sort of drifted into it because that's what our lot have always done. If I'd chosen something else - like going into business, say - I would have been the first for four generations to have gone outside the medical field.
I don't think that that would have mattered but it means there are lots of things we can talk about at home.
