I use this text in the classroom. My pupils will listen to the text read by native speaker. then they answer some questions.
Dear Richard and Jackie,
We’re having a great time in Jijel. We’re sitting in a café near the sea. Brown is reading a magazine and I’m writing this postcard to you. We usually go to Tunisia every spring but this year we wanted to see Algeria. We go for walks every day in the mountains. We don’t go swimming. It’s too cold in this period of time!
We are staying here for about three days. Then, we are going to move to Ain Salah. It is the center of the Sahara. It takes about 3 hours to get there by plane. I'm sure we will enjoy skiing on the sand as well as riding camels.
