People say that the influence of the cultures of some countries by others due to globalisation is a natural process and I strongly agree with this opinion. In the age of globalization, our societies are subject to change. So as a natural process, the cultures of different countries are blending together and a country is adopting foreign cultures faster than ever.
For example, the use of traditional dresses in Pakistan are declining drastically due to the invention of western culture. And, the culture of some countries like Japan and Korea spreads to all over the world and is loved by the young.
This can be understood because when globalization occurs, everyone has the opportunity to absorb more cultures. Cultural features that are too out of date may be removed. Any good cultural features will be spread widely.The popularity of social media also contributes to the cross-cultural interaction.
This cultural interference can either destroy some of the traditional beauty or increase the cultural diversity. This depends on how governments and people protect their cultures. If the people and the government forget about their traditional culture , the cultural identity will be lost. In conclusion, it is not the globalization that destroys the cultural identity, it is the consciousness of the people that is the key point.
