Piracy.
Piracy is the act of robbery by ship-borne attackers upon another ship or coastal town, typically with the goal of stealing money and other valuables. People who commit piracy are called “pirates”. The earliest documented group of pirates is the Sea Peoples, who looted and pillaged in the 14th century BC. In recent years, piracy has been a problem off the coasts of Somalia and Indonesia, and elsewhere. In 2010, there were 489 reports of piracy from around the world.
