Hello ! My name is Sam and I’m an English pupil ! Education is compulsary from 5 to 16
I am in year 8, at the end of Key stage 3.
I leave home and catch a bus to school. Most of my friends walk to school.
I wear a school uniform : Grey or black trousers, a white shirt, a tie and a sweater with the school logo. The colour is the choice of the school. Mine is blue.
I have a locker where I can store some of my stuff.
We line up in our class line and wait quietly for the teacher to send us to our classroom.
Each period lasts an hour. We have different teachers for each lesson. Our morning lessons are usually Literacy ( English ) and numeracy ( mathematics )
Our subjects are : Maths, English, Science, Drama, Music, Art, ICT (Information and Communication Technology), PE (Physical Education), French or Spanish, Humanities : History, Geography, Religion.
Here is my school day from Monday to Friday

On hearing my name, I reply 'yes Mrs. (teacher's name)'
The teacher notes down in the book whether the child is in school or not.
