This is for students (second year learning English) so a slow pace would be nice for them
My name is Andrew and I love music. I play the piano and also the guitar. I've played the piano for five years and the guitar for two years. My favourite instrument is the violin and I would love to play it. I think the violin has a beautiful sound and it can be melancholic or lively. My younger sister Liz, who is sixteen, plays the violin. She started when she was eight. She is very talented.
I love many very different genres and many diffent kinds of music. Usually, it depends on what I'm doing and where I am. For example, I can listen to punk music in the shower, electro music on the bus and live folk music in pubs. Most of the time, I enjoy complex music such as jazz or classical music, however I dislike simple music like pop or dance. I also hate metal and hard rock because I think it is too violent and the lyrics are too dark. But I like funk for its catchy rhythms. Finally, I don't really care about country music, I find it boring and repetitive.
