I hope that's clear enough. If you would like me to say it slower or anything, feel free to ask :).

It was a really good pronunciation. You could improve the vowels more :)

To make the 'i' sound:
1) Say 'i' as you would in Chinese 'xi' or 'ji'
2) But your tongue tip (which when saying 'i' is very close to your top teeth) should be about 1cm further back in your mouth and about 1cm lower.
3) You should be able to make the same sound I (not very clearly) made in the recording
4) Message me if you would like a more detailed explanation.

The 'a' is a schwa sound, like 'e' in pinyin 'che' or 're'.

I hope this has helped.

The second one is a lot better :).
For example, take the 'i' sound in pinyin and the 'e' in pinyin 'xie' or 'yue'. Notice how the height of your tongue tip changes between the two sounds.

The first 'i' sound in 'brilliant' is made when the height of the tongue tip is halfway between the two sounds.

It's very difficult for a native Chinese to do, so do not worry if you can't make the sound at first, your 'brilliant' is already brilliant :D.
