Once upon a time, there were two orphaned twin brothers. They loved each other dearly. When they reached a marriageable age, the elder brother made a girl his wife. After the marriage, the brothers didn't have a deep love like they used to and it made the younger brother very sad.

One day, the two brothers came back from the field. The young brother walked into the house first. The wife thought that he was her husband that she missed and she hugged the younger brother. At that moment, the elder brother walked into the house. Both the wife and the younger brother suddenly realized what had happened and both of them felt ashamed. After that, the elder brother thought that his wife and the younger brother were in a relationship so the elder brother began to give the cold shoulder to the younger brother.

One afternoon, while the elder brother and the sister in law weren’t at home, the younger brother felt sad so he decided to run away. He walked on and on until he came to a stream, he sat down to cry and turned into a rock. The elder brother came back the house and noticed his brother was gone, so he went to find him. He walked on and on until he came to the same stream, he sat down against the rock to rest. Then he started to feel repentant and cried. Eventually, he turned into a branchless tree, growing upright next to the rock. The wife came back and she didn't see her husband so she went to go find. She walked on and on until coming to that stream, she sat against the tree next to the rock, she lamented and turned into a liana around the tree next to the rock.
