How to Use Smart Phone in Learning English

Ladies and gentleman. As you already know, my name is Leon. Today is another wonderful speech day and this is my time to give you a presentation. I am honor to be here with you today.

These days, many people use the smart phone. but I think most people use it only for kakao talk messenger and surfing the internet.
But we can use more useful applications and online sites by smart phone.
Of course we have the best English teacher, Annie, but it is true that smart phone helps us improve our English skills like a great English teacher.

Today, I would like to say how to use the smart phone in learning English.

I will tell you the great information with three parts about smart phone applications. three parts about smart phone applications which ard connected to listening, speaking and reading parts. That's all. no big deal.

First, We spend a lot of time on the public transportation and I think it's the great idea for you to listen to the English radio or applications. I think the time on public transportation is a very good chance to listen to the English programs. for example Arirang radio, EBS-english and so on.

What do you do on the bus or subway going to the office or home?

Especially we can listen to the K-pop by Arirang radio. It is not boring because we can listen to the familiar music, news and stories.
If you spend the time to listen to news about Korea and global issue, you can get both information and English by listening to the arirang radio.

Second, there are many applications for improving your speaking English. If you are at home, you can repeat the conversations loudly.
Elllo, VOA and some applications which are made by the US government offer you very good conversations which are recorded by native speakers.
If you want the voice of the announcer, you just drag along the file from the VOA. VOA is made by American government. you can listen to the news and stories very slowly.
Additionally, if you want the real voice, you just carry out the Elllo. The Elllo.org contains a number of conversations.
So, you can use the key-word. If you want to find some object, you can sort it out.

Let me show you one example. If you want to listen to the health... That's it. Let's listen to the mp3 file.

What do you think about it?

In addition, recording your voice is very useful to improve your pronunciation.
Listen to my voice is one of the most important steps to take, when you learn English.

Finally, if you want to improve your reading skill, you have to choose some news applications such as Korea herald, Newyork times and VOA
If you find some words you don't know, you only have to use Daum English Dictionary or Naver Dictionary.
I prefer Daum Dictionary to Naver Dictionary because I can listen to the real voice of native speaker from Daum Dictionary.

I would like to say one more thing. I want to introduce one useful online site called Rhinospike.
If you use this site. After uploading your text, you can receive the voice file recorded by native speaker.
I would like to show you one example. Last week, I uploaded the text file, and I received the recording file like this.

In conclusion, all of these applications and online sites I mentioned are able for you to approach with your smart phone, but some online sites are more useful by your computer.

Applications for smart phone are Arirang radio and Tv, ebs-e, daum dic, busan e-fm, radio alarm, voice recorder, VOA, everyOn, veetle, cnn, bbc.
Things that more useful on computer are Rhinospike, Ello and so on.
But all of things can be used on your smart phone.

Thank you.

'Ladies and gentlemen.' 'I am honored to be here with you today.' Just making those two corrections. There are a few other very minor ones, but I read it exactly as written. Was I supposed to?
