Good afternoon,
Thank you for giving me such a warm welcome and for being here today. I have promptly accepted Dr Goodlaw's invitation to speak about my reasons for hope in front of you, his students. First of all, when we think of all we have already accomplished as humans, we can have reasons for hope. We've sent robots to Mars, we've found cures for so many diseases, and we've started to take our survival and the future of our planet more seriously than ever.
Secondly, a lot of young people like you have already taken action and got involved into so many environmentally-friendly actions that we can be optimistic about the future.
But a lot of work remains to be done to make people aware of the emergency of acting, right now. Right now, we are going to organize meetings. Right now, we are going to promote our actions. Right now, we are going to show the world our determination to make a change, to make a difference in the world !
There are reasons for hope. Let's share them ! Thank you very much for your time and attention.
