title : Electricity transmissions.

Electricity is distributed from power stations trough wires carried by pylons and extended underground. The produced electric current is of the alternate type (AC), as it is easier to manage voltage with AC than with direct current (DC).
The High voltage is to prefer, because the waste of energy due to the resistance in cables, diminishes and the current needed to transmit the same quantity of electric power is less.
An average power plant can produce about 1 million KW of electric power at 25.000 V, the voltage is sent up to 400,000 Volt by step up transformers, trough a grid system.
High voltage is necessary for industries, while for various locations such as small factories, offices and houses, voltage must be reduced by step down transformers.
The need of energy varies during day: for example in the winter evenings the use of energy is higher for lightning and in the morning when electrical appliances are used by housewives.
At night less energy is required and for this, a energy control system dispatches energy on demand.
A general blackout may be due to events like storms and the collapse of pylons; may be necessary to resort to different lines or to the electricity grid of other companies.

I'm not sure if the edits I made to the text were uploaded correctly, so I'm rewriting them here. (Two comments, because the text won't fit in a single comment)

(My voice cracked a little on the word "dispatches," sorry!)
