DC current flows in one single direction in a circuit, that is from the negative terminal of the battery to the positive terminal.
DC voltage has a fixed polarity.
In an electrical draw, the flow of the current is marked oppsed to reality.
Alternating current and alternating voltage flows in both dirctions.
AC voltage is obtained from AC generators and the frequency is represented by a sinusoidal wave.
The advantage of AC.
All types of electric circuits produce heat as undesired effect, but the flow of current, in DC circuit, produce more eat than AC.
AC is preferred , because in long distance the amount of power, lost in the form of heat, is much less than in DC circuit.
