It was springtime and I was tired after a long winter in London.
I needed a break and decided to spend a weekend in Dublin. I took the plane on a Friday evening and arrived in Dublin one hour and a half later. I had made a reservation at the "WB Yeats Hotel" which is in the city center. I was pleased to see the hotel was nice and quiet.

On Saturday morning, when I woke up the weather was beautiful, the perfect weather for a day trip to the sea. I took a bus ride to Howth, a little town close to Dublin. I walked on the cliffs along the coast to the lighthouse, and watched the boats coming in and out of the harbour. it was so peaceful! I also admired Howth old Castle. Did you know that WB Yeats spent part of his childhood in a small house above the cliffs? He is my
favourite poet and I was delighted to see the place where he had lived. Then, it was time to go back to Dublin, I had booked a ticket for a concert of the Mahones, one of my favourite bands and I didn't want to be late. I had a fabulous evening.

On Sunday morning, I went to Trinity College, I had read that Sunday morning was the best time to visit this university before the students were awake and I guess it's true! I took a walk in this beautiful place and admired the buildings surrounded by lovely gardens. I also wanted
to see to Temple Bar which is one of the city's best known areas. I walked
along narrow cobblestone streets and listened to musicians playing folk
music, the place was busy but not crowded, people were obviously
relaxing, I felt relaxed too and enjoyed a drink in a pub before going
to the airport to fly back to London. I felt really better after this
weekend in Dublin.

If you wrote that, I'm quite impressed! It's very good for a non-native speaker. I made several changes to sound a bit more natural (for an American at least). Here is my modified text:
