•Amanda : Let’s get right down to business. After George Mallory climbed Mount Everest, he was asked “Why did you climb this mountain?” His legendary answer of “Because it is there,” has become famous all around the world. I would like to ask you the same question.

•Erik : Half the answer is “because it is there,” but the other half is “because we are here.” Human beings live to achieve and we like to stay on top of thing. We have an ambitious and exploring nature in ourselves. We want to learn and to know our world.
•Amanda : Why do you climb mountains when you can’t see the view at the top?

•Erik : I just love climbing mountains. I love the feeling of the rock under my gloves. I love the idea of adventure. I love figuring things out. And I like surrounding myself with good people who make me stronger.
