옛날 깊은 산골에 처녀 한 사람이 살고 있었읍니다. 어느 날 처녀는 산에 들어가 바구니에 하나 가득 나물을 캐어 들고 마을로 돌아오는 길이었읍니다.
큰 바위 아래를 지나가려니까, 양지 바른 곳에 강아지만한 짐승이 서너 마리 옹기종기 모여서 장난치고 있었읍니다.
