Hi, I am Steve.
It’s Monday once again, and like every week, we’re having our meeting with representatives from all over the country. Of course, they don’t have to come to the head office: for two years, we have been experimenting a new teleconferencing device. No need for complicated and expensive devices: a few laptops or tablets for our representatives, and a PC connected to a videoprojector in our head office. And a good internet connection of course!
Once, we had a power cut, and it was a complete disaster because nothing was working, but it didn’t happen very often! It’s great because every person taking part to the meeting can see and hear the others. You feel as if they were in the room, and so everyone is more engaged during meetings. What’s also a plus is they can show documents or presentations, and send them to the others.
When our colleagues are away, even on a business trip, they can connect from their hotel rooms. We are a relatively small firm, but thanks to this system, we can communicate with customers not only in our country, but also overseas. And it’s not as expensive as you would think anymore!
