Hi, today I tried to write my first note in my diary. The English text is there in order to check the meaning. Please, record only the German text.
Heute ist der 20. Juni, 2010.
Es ist Abend und der erste Tag, an dem ich auf Deutsch in mein Tagebuch schreibe. Ich denke, dass wir das Schreiben üben sollten, weil es wichtig zum Sprachenlernen ist, um sich in der Sprache, welche wir lernen, zu verbessern. Heute ist es nur ein kurzer Text, weil es mein erster Text auf Deutsch ist.

Today is June 20, 2010. It is morning, and it is the first day that I am writing in German in my diary. I think that we should practise writing because it is important for learning languages in order to improve a language we are learning. In German, you can't use "Guten Abend" to say goodbye, only as a greeting. I'd rather say "Tschüss" or something less formal.
