American English at a normal speed please.
If possible, I would like you to read like you are talking to someone.
Thank you.
I guess if you are a Japanese language learner, you must have been asked many times why you have been making an effort to learn it.
However, since I'm an English learner, I haven't been asked about it as many times as you probably have been. It's because English is an international language and people take it for granted.
Most Japanese people would express surprise and appreciate the fact that you are learning Japanese. And of course, the first question that they'd voice to you would be "Why!"
Putting some thought into answering the question must be a good way to clarify the reason to yourself at any given time.
Actually, I currently find myself at a loss regarding the reason as to why I want to learn English. One thing that I can say is that "speaking English fluently is cool!"
^0^
However, I know it's unlikely to be taken as a valid reason. I need to make an analysis of my real reasons.
First of all, I would like to build great friendships using English. Although some people say that nurturing friendships is possible even with language barriers, I don't agree with it. The more freely I can speak English about many subjects, the more I can get to know English speakers and their cultures.
Secondly, I would like to help others with their Japanese language learning. I should speak Japanese when I am teaching it, although English speaking ability will be helpful sometimes.
That's what I've come up with today.
Thank you for reading!
Wow did you write this?上手いじゃん?! Good Job!
