My full name is Keanu Charles Reeves. I was born on September 2, 1964. My mother was a very creative person and she was crazy about rare names. So she called me Keanu, which means “cool breeze over the mountains» in Hawaiian. As you see, Hawaiian is actually a picture language, and in many cases it deals with concepts or ideas more than just specific words. Unfortunately when I was two, my parents divorced and went their separate ways. I occasionally visited my father in Hawaii until I was thirteen. That was the last time I saw him. My father was sentenced to ten years in prison for drug possession. And we haven’t maintained contact with each other since then.
Dear James,
thank you so much! This a beautiful recording. I teach English-Russian translation class. You have recorded the first part of the interview with Keanu Reeves that I have prepared for my students to interpret. I was wondering if you could record the rest of the interview?
