About my background, I obtained A-level, then I worked as a policewoman for six years. I was injured and I was fired. Now, I have worked in long-term contract for five years in TVM, a Forwarding Company and I requested to incorporate a technical degree as a management assistant in sandwich training course.
Concerning my firm, it’s a carrier company created in two thousand and nine by former employees of THOINARD company who were fired from it.
The weekly operations consist in loading trailers on Monday, delivering furniture on thuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, pincking up furniture to the manufacturers on Friday and unloading trailers on Saturday.
I ‘ve a polyvalent work because i’ve commercial, accounting, administrative and logistics missions.
Our organisation is horizontal, we have a CEO, two managers of department and the staff, allocated in four departments : administrative, operations department, drivers, and handlers.
We have a fleet of thirty tractor trailers and a wharf of two thousand and five hundred square meters, to store furniture.
Our Customers are for half french nationality, twenty eight portuguese, fifteen belgians and the private customers represent ten percent.
We carry a lot of furniture like dressings, sofa, livingrooms, bedrooms and kitchens furniture. Our principal customers concerning kitchens is La SALM from north-East of France for exemple, or CELIO from Deux-Sèvres that manufactures dressings.
I’ve studied the streghts, weaknesses ans opportunities, threats of my activity. About streghts, we have motivated personnal and a high quality service. On the contrary, tTechnology obsolescence, occupationnal diseases and handling operations are weaknesses. Besides, we have two principal opportunities that are the rivals bankrout and the fact that people change regularly their interior furniture. The principal threats are the competition from eastern countries and the drivers shortage.
To conclude, after two sandwich traning years, I have improved myself, both in computer literacy, accounting and customers relationships. I have gained more confidence. My CEO is very pleased with my work and offered me a carrer evolution.

About my situation of communication, it deals with a call exchange with a CEO, who is worried about his delivery.
As a manager assistant, I help the transport operations department to answer on the switchboard to give delivery times. The CEO of hemisphere Sud from LA ROCHE SUR YON called me to know when he would be delivered. He’s angry because the last time, we hadn’t taken meeting.
I’was sat behind my desk, behind the switchboard and the conversation lasted five minutes.
I used my wired phone end the company’s software. It’s an external and horizontal communication, on B to B, without hierarchy notion.
The problems were that he feared to receive his orders in the limit time. And he wanted us to make an appointment.
The goals were to reassure the customer, to promote a positive image of my company, and showed our quality service.
During the calling, I reassured the Hemisphere Sud CEO, with a quiet tone about the delivery date, and I offered to call the driver to know exactly the day of delivery. I explained him that it’s an experienced driver who would take an appointment with him. Finally, I called the driver immediately to settle the problem.
To conclude, the customer was satisfied so, he didn’t call the furniture manufacturer.
He thanked me for my professionalism.
This experience reassured me about my professional capacities. Indeed, I have acquired skills to deal with customers’ requests.
