Two errors I noticed.

5.What would you do if you MET an alien?
9.What ARE your favorite things to do in the summer?

The speaker from London's accent is quite Americanised to my ears, and very quick!

It's also quite funny that people just give their accents as American, as the difference between the regions must be pretty big. Having said that, I can't place the accents, but if I had to guess I'd say they were Midwestern, as they sound quite standard.

Actually, I'm from the deep south. I've traveled extensively and my accent has changed. If you're interested I can redo the audio (without the errors).

I'm from the Midwest (Chicago). I can definitely identify the other American recording has a Southern accent :-)

I wonder why there are specific regions for England, but not the U.S.

You can put anything you like in the accent box, and you can change it anytime. So you could put American, midwest or American (Chicago) if you like.

The distinctive American accents I notice are New York, Boston, and southern (or at least I though I could spot that one!)

I'm not sure I could pick out any others, maybe Californian. Whereas with British accents, I can tell immediately where you're from, what class you are, how old you are, what education you had...

You're young, you're middle-class, possibly privately educated, depending on where in London you're from. There's a bit of a twang in your accent, whether that's because you've spent time abroad or that's how some young people down south speak now.

Everyone in England does this don't they though? You could probably pick up a lot about me even if I hadn't told you where I'm from.
