Note to recorder:

Please, speak a little slower than normal as it is for 8th graders. Please try to make two voices for the script thanks a lot! A British accent would also be perfect!

Detective: Please, state your name, age, and address for the record.
Margaret: My name is Margaret Hasenrald. I am 46 years old. I work as a guide in the Tower of London and I live at 89 Millman Street, London.
D: Alright Mrs Hasenrald. You are here because we found your husband dead 3 days ago, and we also found a letter from his insurance company about a change of beneficiary for his Life Insurance. Did you know about it?
M: Yes of course. It was a deal we made when we divorced, that the children would inherit should anything happen to him.
D: Were you aware of the amount?
M: No, not at all. George was very secretive about money. It has always been a problem of his.
D: The total of the life insurance reaches the £158,965…
M: Oh my! That is quite a sum!
D: It is. What do you mean by “it has always been a problem for him”?
M: Well, it is no secret I guess. George always had a problem with money, which is why we divorced. See, he was a gambler and spent a lot of time losing his money. I was fine with it, as long as it was his own money. Unfortunately he started playing and gambling our money, and some of what we saved for the children, for when they grow up. That was what made me leave him. He crossed the line, I could not take it anymore. So, I took the kids and left. I sent him the divorce papers a few days later.
D: And, do you know of any debt he could have? Do you know if he owed money to someone? Someone that would want to hurt him?
M: I am not aware of such things. But it would not surprise me.
D: We’ll see into it then. Another question: What were you doing in the night of the 29th of February around 10?
M: Well, I was with the kids of course. Jane was sick, so I had to look over her.
D: Very well. Please, don’t leave the city in case we have other questions to ask you.
M: Yes detective.
