Hello!
Could you please help me with british pronunciation and natural speed.
I would like to tell you about myself and why I have decided to apply to Master’s degree program. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in Lomonosov Moscow State University. My major was History of Art.
The topic of my diploma paper was “The sculpture of Sèvres manufacture in the XVIII-XIX centuries”. As you know, Sèvre is a small town, which is situated not far from Paris. When I was working on my diploma paper I had a wonderful opportunity to go to National ceramic museum in Sèvre and continue my research there. I was there for three months and it was a great chance for me to not only practice my French but also to learn more about French culture and heritage.
When I was there I realized again that there are a lot of contemporary articles about ceramics published not only in France, but also in Great Britain and other countries that are not translated into Russian.
I would love to get Master’s degree in Linguistics. My goal is to not only learn English but also to become a translator. I would love to be able to translate British articles about ceramics into Russian as they are very important for Russian appraisers and collectors.
For example, a Historian of Art and professor. His name is Timothy Hugh Wilson. He works at the Ashmolean museum and he teaches the History of Ceramics at Oxford University in Great Britain. He has been publishing his articles for many years and they haven’t been translated into Russian yet. However, I have read many of them and I strongly believe they might be very interesting for Russian Historians of Art and professors. What is more, I contacted Prof. Wilson and he liked the idea of translating his articles into Russian and he is ready to consult me.
In the future I hope I will be able to speak English as fluently as I speak French now and I hope to find a job where I could use the knowledge of both languages.
I work at Kamsky Institute of Humanitarian and Engineering Technologies. I have many responsibilities. Firstly I’m a Director of Art Gallery. My duty is to work with documents also I’m responsible for organizing exhibitions and major art festivals in the Udmurt Republic. The aim of the Gallery is to promote art in the Udmurt Republic and also to support young artists. Secondly I work as a Part-Time lecturer. I teach History of Art and History of Design to bachelor students who study at the Design and Architecture department. Thirdly I’m the head of Russian Museum branch in Izhevsk. It is an educational project. We organized virtual tours for school children, who can’t afford to go to Saint Petersburg and visit the museum. This is a wonderful approach why for them to study Russian history and art. We try to encourage them to go to different museums and enjoy art.

Sorry for stumbling over the names of the cities. I figure that you probably already know how to pronounce them very well, even if my French pronunciations are rather inadequate.
By the way, I had already committed to recording before I realized that you would have preferred a British accent. I hope that my mid-Western American accent will still be helpful.
