Santa Claus was originally created based on Saint Nicholas who was a European bishop known for his generosity in giving gifts to the poor neighbors during harsh winters. In the United States, Santa Claus is usually presented as a jolly fat man with a long white beard and dressed in a red suit. He leads a magical sleigh being pulled by eight reindeer and flies around the world, the night before Christmas, delivering toys and candy to all children.
