This year, I have a lot of resolutions because I want to change my bad habits.

First of all, I am going to spend more time studying and revising because I want to improve my grades at university.

Secondly, I will start being a better friend. Sometimes I ignore my friends because I don’t have a lot of time but this year, I’m going to help my friends when they need me.

I’m also going to start learning French because I am going to visit my cousin in France next summer.

I will stop eating donuts and chocolate for breakfast, it is a really bad habit!

I’m going to spend less time watching TV and less time playing video games as well, it is a waste of time!

Finally, the most difficult resolution I have made is that I will not argue with my brother and sister. It is going to be very difficult because we fight all the time but I am going to keep being patient and I will try to stay calm when they annoy me.

Today, I Will talk about to electrical technician or Control technician.
The most jobs about it are at automatization industry, they have a skill to electrical installation cables, wires from 400 to 24 volts, ethernet wire and devices electrical. They are responsible for robots, motors, tools tables, robot welder and conveyors are powered and have communicated with each other.
They work with safety, this kind of jobs are currently in high demand.

My name is Joe and today I'm going to speak about my favourite series of the moment and why you should watch it. It's called Locke & Key and it's on Netflix. Do you know it ?
It's the story of a family who moves into a house in which their dead father used to live as a child. The teenagers, Tyler, Kinsey and Bode discover keys with magical powers and many adventures happen to the main characters.
I love this series because there are lots of cliffhangers, once an episode is finished you just want to watch the next one immediately. Sometimes the atmosphere is very creepy and scary and sometimes it's full of love and friendship. The characters are great ! They are teenagers so you can easily identify to them and feel close to them, too. You should definitely watch this series especially if you want to be scared and enjoy a good romance ! I'm sure you'll love it !

The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while (1) you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. International Sporting Events

Topic: One good way to promote world peace is through international sporting events. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Model answer:

Some today feel that international sporting events are an opportunity to encourage world peace between traditionally opposed nations. In my opinion, the shared comradery is marginal enough as to be largely meaningless.

Proponents would argue that these events strengthen national bonds, particularly for the host country. Take the recent Olympics in Brasil as an example. Brasilian citizens and the government may have harboured animosity and prejudices towards various other countries where they have political, geographic, or economic ties. These predispositions might soften in citizens as they replace their generalised impressions with the real people now staying in their hotels, eating in their restaurants and passing them on the street. Governments will also have the opportunity to meet with foreign leaders in a spirit of friendly competition and without the tension of trade or military talks.

Nonetheless, only a very small percentage of people will be influenced in this way relative to the global interactions that actually impact world peace. A good example of this would be the complex civil war taking place in Syria. Very few citizens in a war-torn nation care about sporting events, if they have any representatives, and the leaders may not even make the trip. They will be more concerned about which sides Russia and the United States are supporting and the outstanding problems that led to conflict in the first place. World peace is further imperiled by other Middle Eastern countries with a religious affiliation who are unlikely to be pacified through a football match. Competitions like the Olympics and World Cup cannot in any way alter these underlying sources of conflict.

In conclusion, sports tournaments have very little role to play in a more peaceful world. Countries should take part in them to stir up national pride and achieve glory, not as a means to an unachievable political end.

Dying Languages

Topic: Many local languages today are dying out due to the rise of languages like English. Is this a positive or negative development?

Model answer:

The ubiquity of English as a lingua franca is leading to lesser known languages fading away. Although this is a great cultural loss for the world as a whole, it is a positive development for the ethnic groups in question.

Those who regret these loses point out the irreplaceable role of unique languages among ethnic peoples. A good example of this would be in India which is home to 22 national languages and hundreds of unofficial languages in various states of decay. Once a region begins to assimilate and learn English and Hindi, their native tongue becomes antiquated. Since language does more to shape how we see the world than our vision, this also means an interpretation of the world falls away. Over time, younger people will tend to follow global or national trends rather than local ones and the culture itself will be at risk.

Despite the disadvantages mentioned above, assimilation means progress. Western tourists might feel their right to see authentic ethnic minorities is being stripped away, but those groups typically want better lives for themselves and their children. Speaking a language known only to a small group of people greatly limits your opportunities. You can remain in your village and live below the poverty line your entire life or learn a widely-spoken language and be able to travel, work and stay abreast of developments abroad. Even if they do not leave the country, they can move to bigger cities and pursue their passion. Those that remain in their villages, will have better chances of finding online work as well.

In conclusion, the disappearance of smaller languages is inevitable and positive from a purely utilitarian point of view. It would be great to find a means of supporting indigenous tribes that choose to preserve their ancestors’ way of life.

Living on Other Planets

Topic: In the future it will become more difficult to live on Earth so more money should be spent researching how to live on other planets such as Mars. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Model answer:

Many entrepreneurs and governments are investing in contingency plans for living on other planets in the distant or not-so-distant future. In my opinion, though this will have no impact for foreseeable generations it is nonetheless a worthwhile endeavor.

Those who are shocked at the expense of space research typically point out the more pressing needs of everyday citizens. This applies to residents of both first world and developing nations. In the United States, there are millions under the poverty line, senior citizens without decent retirement plans, and countless families lacking proper health insurance. The case is even more dire outside the developed world where the underprivileged are vulnerable to natural disasters such as flooding and droughts which can result in famine. The money spent on space fantasies would be better diverted to sustainable solutions for the common man.

Despite the justified concerns above, I believe it is more important for mankind to take on grand, lasting projects that will have long-term impact. Thousands of years ago, ancient civilisations invested lives and centuries building pyramids and other great works that serve as monuments against time. Investing in technology to travel to and inhabit other planets would not only serve this purpose but at some point in the future climate change or overpopulation might make interplanetary colonization an essential alternative. Future generations will be grateful for our efforts in the same way we appreciate the relics of ancient world powers.

In conclusion, learning how to live on other planets will have far-reaching implications for humanity in the future. Governments should of course balance terrestrial and extraterrestrial investment but they should not yield humanity’s dream of one day saturating the universe.

Fame

Topic: Due to television and the internet it is easier today for a large number of people to become famous. Is this a positive or negative development?

Model answer:

It is easier than ever today for people to become famous because of increased channels for distribution such as television and the internet. This is clearly a positive trend as it opens up the entertainment industry to greater diversity.

Those that decry this trend typically point to talentless celebrities. In the past, a comedian or musician might work for years honing their craft in order to get a slot on one of the few talk shows and then become famous overnight. Nowadays, many celebrities start on reality TV or a YouTube channel and do not have any discernible talents. The socialite Paris Hilton was one of the first to take advantage of her wealth and personality to build a brand without any real product. Kim Kardashian is a more recent example of an individual who through dating celebrities and canny use of social media and television was able to become a celebrity in her own right.

Despite the aforementioned cases, this is on a whole a positive trend because of the more diverse range of famous people today. Fame used to be the prerogative of white men and women, with the occasional exception from an ethnic group. One of the reasons for this is that whites typically come from more privileged backgrounds and have greater opportunity, thereby making up a disproportionate share of success stories. The internet in particular has levelled the playing field to an extent. Anyone with a smartphone today has the ability to broadcast their talents and cultivate a loyal fanbase, regardless of gender or ethnicity and without the barriers that existed in the past such as ingrained reluctance from authority figures to give certain ethnicities an honest chance.

In conclusion, there are clear cultural drawbacks to the ease with which many achieve fame but today it is nonetheless more inclusive. A greater concern should be the age at which people become famous as it can have developmental side effects.
