He's not that dorky.

Hello! My name is Tom and I’m from Cape Town, in South Africa.
I’m 15 years old. I’m quite tall, 5 feet 9 inches and I’m strongly-built but I’m not chubby.
I’ve short frizzy black hair with a gorgeous smile!
I have a brother and a sister: Greg who is 3 years older than me and Sarah who is 5 years younger.
This year, he is studying to become an engineer while my sister is still in Primary school.
My dad is a real estate agent. He sells houses, flats, offices and farms around there.
My mom teaches Art at UCT. That stands for University of Cape Town.
As for my hobbies, I’m keen on lots of different activities: I like motorbiking, playing rugby.
I have ridden a motocross since I was 8 years old. I’m also taking part in races. And to be honest, I’m quite good at it, even if I haven’t won any medal yet!
With my brother, we have practised rugby for 6 years in the local club with most of our friends.
I’m also quite a musician: I have already played the piano, the drums and even the djembe.
I travel a lot with my family but I’ve never visited France. I hope I’ll be able to do it soon.

- I went to Malaga.

- It’s in the South, on the seaside.

- I went with my parents, my little brother but we also invited my cousin Bianca.
- What did you do there?
- We spent a lot of time at the beach and we went scubadiving!
- Really? What did you see?
- There were loads of colourful fish and we also played with a small octopus.
- Did you visit some interesting places?
- Yes, sure we did. Picasso, the famous Spanish painter was born in Malaga and there is a nice museum.
- How long did you stay there? When did you come back?
- I came back 2 days ago. I stayed a couple of weeks but they were my favourite holidays ever! What about you? What did you do?
- Oh, nothing much. My mother was ill so we didn’t leave home. My friend Rachel came to visit me and we went shopping. Then we went to the swimming-pool and to the cinema.
- Did you see Tom and Marvin?
- No, we didn’t. They weren’t home.
- Oh, what time is it?
- I think it’s almost 8. Time to start school.

A villain is the opposite of a hero. There are many villains, but they are not all identical. Let’s have a look at three different types: the Dark Lord, the Mastermind, and the Bully.

First, the Dark Lord: The Dark Lord is a sinister, terrifying character. He’s always the leader of a group. He is often quite old and has a powerful position: he can be a king, a general or a warlord.

Second, the Mastermind: Masterminds are extremely clever. They prepare complicated plans and anticipate everything. They are not very strong and they are often solitary. They don’t like fighting, so they prefer tricking their enemy. They are very secretive and can be very cruel too.

Third, the Bully: Bullies are often popular or commanding characters. They love ruling and deciding. They can be mean, jealous and sometimes cowards. They want to humiliate the hero.
