Alright class! Listen up! Everyone get out your pencils. And don’t throw them this time! Jane, no you cannot use your cell phone in class! Shawn, stop trying to light Cindy’s hair on fire! There is barely any left from last time! Jason! Don’t throw that chair out the window! Jaaasssooon… Jason!
Ugh! Let’s call the principal! (picks up phone) Hello Mr. Sanchez? We need you in the fifth-grade classroom. What do you mean you are busy? Oh… Mrs Smith’s students did what???! Oh… Oh well, I hope Mrs. Smith recovers. (hangs up)
………..Okay class, you need to find a new teacher because I quit! Adios!

Mardi Gras is a great tradition in Louisiana. It is the last day of Carnival.
It is a Christian holiday, a five-day celebration that ends before Lent.
Lent is the time before Easter when Christians pray and fast*.
Mardi Gras is always 47 days before Easter Sunday.
Mardi Gras is celebrated all over the world, but the largest celebration is in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The first Mardi Gras parade was on February 24, 1857. Krewes are social clubs that organise parades and balls. They build, decorate and ride floats during the parade, wearing masks and costumes. Parades also include marching bands and jazz bands. People watch the parade, they eat rich food and they dance.
Traditional colours
People dress up in purple, green and gold costumes, the traditional symbolic colors of Mardi Gras. Purple stands for justice, green for faith and gold for power.
Throws
When the krewes ride on the parade floats, they throw out objects to parade watchers. The two most popular throws are purple, green and gold beads and Zulu coconuts
Zulu coconuts are considered the most special thing to catch during the parade. Zulu is one of the oldest African-American Krewes. The coconuts are painted in Mardi Gras colors and decorated with glitter. They are handed into the crowd.
Toy coins known as doubloons are also thrown from floats.
King Cakes are Mardi Gras’s most popular food.
These round cakes laced with cinnamon and iced with purple, green, and gold icing often include a bead or a tiny plastic, porcelain or gold baby doll inside, to remind people of Jesus. The person who finds it is declared "king" and must buy the next cake or host the next party.
Flambeaux
The blazing torches lighting the way for parade-goers during nighttime Mardi Gras festivities are called flambeaux, French for torch. The tradition is to toss coins to the flambeaux carriers, who twirl and dance with their torches.

So my favorite place in New York ...I think it's Times Square : giant neon signs, adverts, people everywhere, yellow taxis, great shops, and the Broadway theatre district.

I am a basketball fan so Madison Square Garden is definitely my favourite place in New York.

Well, my favourite place in New York is Central Park. It's huge and there are a lot of things to do. I like jogging and I also love going there on a picnic.

Putin went to a very famous Italian restaurant with his parents. To save money they took the train. At the station his parents made a scene over 1 rubble with the cashier. It was embarrassing to Putin. He said, “That embarrasses me! Please, stop making scene! Then they all got in the train.
In the train his parents took out a portable electric cooker, pelmeni, some boiled eggs and started to cook diner. It was very embarrassing to Putin. He said, “Mom, dad, that embarrasses me! Please, stop cooking diner! We are going to the restaurant!” Then they all got off the train.

In the restaurant Putin’s mother accidentally broke the toilet. First, it was very embarrassing to him. “Oh, my God!”, said Putin. But then, the water from the toilet went out and the whole restaurant got flooded. The Italian restaurant turned into the “floating restaurant” and became the most popular and expensive restaurant in Moscow.
Now Putin feels proud of his parents! ☺️

3 cats and Peppa Pig
3 cats, Korzhik, Karamelka and Kompot, are in the car. They are driving to Prostokvashino, to visit Peppa pig. On the way, they are tired. They go into the Transylvania Hotel. It is a 6-star hotel. But there is a problem with the room. It is dirty and there are too many vampires 🧛‍♂️. They do not want to stay in this hotel.
They keep driving, but it is a long way, and they are really tired. They see a 10-star retirement home. They get a room in this home. But there is a problem. There are two crazy grannies. They bother and distract 3 cats. So they decide not to stay in this retirement home.
They keep driving, but now they are just exhausted. Finally they see a 3-star orphanage home called “My second family”. They get into the home and see Peppa pig. It turns out she brought home 5 big spiders 🕷 and her parents were so mad that they said, “Leave the house! Get out of here!”. And now Peppa pig lives in the orphanage. 3 cats decide to stay with their friend.
And now they live happily together.
